Yotpo: Loyalty & Rewards , 2,450 reviews
We are on the Enterprise and recently launched Yotpo live on our website. Overall, we are happy with Yotpo Loyalty and Rewards as the features and customizability are great. However, the implementation was a disaster and took nearly three months to go live (three paid months). The support (specifically developer support) when implementing and going live is very lacking. Minor customizations and responses to tickets when issues arise takes too long. In addition, if you are thinking there will be a benefit to using Yotpo Reviews, UGC, and Loyalty together, do not put too much weight into that when making your decision. They operate as three separate companies and doesn't feel unified.
Hey, Lindsay from the Loyalty team here 👋
I really apologize for the experience you've had. We checked in with the team on your case, and it looks like some technical issues on our end did arise.
Our team worked to assist in recalculating your VIP tiers, setting up the Tapcart integration, and ensuring Reviews were live after the Loyalty go-live, as well as assisted in CSS edits to the OOTB loyalty modules.
We are working to improve the implementation process to ensure the issues you experienced are fixed. If you do continue to experience further issues with your products as you mentioned, please contact your CSMs directly and we will do our absolute best to solve them as quickly as we can.
The page builder was easy to set up and gave it a leg up over similar rewards apps. What would make Yotpo the best rewards app is if their integrations with Klaviyo wasn't so expensive. $249 if you want to do any useful integrations and points versus similar apps that are free and much cheaper.
The app works good! but it required me to install a script on the overall site who slows down my site critically. This solution does not worth the amount of unused javascript.
I just installed this app, and I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with setup or not. I really like to use integrations, but I'm not going to pay $250 to integrate Klaviyo. I'll probably give it a go for a few days and see how my customers react, but there are other options. I hope the yotpo team considers adding some basic integrations into the Silver level otherwise I will likely use one of the other apps instead.
I like the app its easy to use, only reason i havent given 5 stars is once i worked out how to connect klaviyo i saw thats $250 a month, were on silver so have to go to next package to integrate with marketing apps, bit of a high cost there guys....
Update
Looked in help on how to see actual subscribers, the help page directs to a dead 404 error, not great, so googled how to find, it doesnt seem possible, says look for recent customers card, ive been through every tab its not there!!!
It's disappointing that this app doesn't work with Omisend. Cannot do much with customizing triggered emails. It seems that Yotpo doesn't pay any attention to their design/UI, from email layout to dashboard, all look very unprofessional. If comparing to Smile.io, Yotpo is still far behind. Just that, Yotpo is more affordable for small businesses.
Be aware: If you aren't willing to go for a paid plan and you have customers who already did purchase, is not a good choise! The list of the clients is populating in days AND you cannot add manually point to the existing customers and you will receive daily replies from the support team like "I have been told tomorrow should work". Also, if you use a different language than EN you will have like 1 full day to work, and everything is very confusing...nothing to do with 2020. Even though I don't go for lower stars because the APP is still providing a lot of features and is a lot customizable but sometimes 1st you need to think about the customers who already invested trust in your store!!! Those have been said, If you are going for a paid plan is a very good APP, if not I truly recommend you to look around!
Very nice reward system but more needs to be available at the free tier such as the instagram follow and the tiers. Small businesses are trying to grow their business and those features would help but are only available for businesses that are already established. $250/month for VIP tiers? If you are already making a lot of money on your site where you can afford that, you don't need a VIP program to boost sales.
It's supposed to be a great app, great functions. However, a BIG drawback is that, you can't delete customers. As Shopify shop owners are under attack of phantom customers signing up with same non-sense first and last name, probably created by Bots and there's nothing Shopify can do about it, those fake customers get ported over to Rewards & Referrals by Swell's customers list and it gets really frustrating when the list is full of junks that I cannot clean up. At least Shopify customers list, I can still delete them.
It's time to update your app to enable customer list housekeeping.
Still trying to figure out if it works. Love the idea though. should hopefully increase sales.
