After reading all of the positive reviews I decided to contact Swyft. I had a meeting with James over Google Meet to see if the app was a good fit for my business. I asked several questions and was satisfied with the answers I was provided with. I informed James that our warehouse was located in Pickering. He told me that they were just servicing Toronto and didn’t have pick ups that Far East. But it would be coming soon. I told him to keep me posted.
About 1 week later I received an email from James that he spoke to his team and that yes, Swyft will be doing pick ups in Pickering and that I can come on board. So I did. Set up was simple and I went through the pick up process with Sara from Operations to ensure our warehouse team was on board logistically. However from the first day we went Live, there were issues. I was told by Sara that it was too last minute for a pick up to be scheduled for an ordered that a client placed for same day delivery from Swyft. As a result, I had to refund the client the delivery fee because Swyft couldn’t deliver on the promised same-day delivery. I was really annoyed by this and reached out to Sara and received an explanation. They did say they wouldn’t charge me for the pick up as there were “communication” issues. Unfortunately my experience with Swyft was plagued with “communication” issues. I was only with them for about two weeks but using Swyft ended up costing me tons of money for one particular order that wasn’t delivered on time because it was a commercial address, and was returned to our warehouse. It then had to be re-directed to a residential address. When it came time for the package to be picked up by the driver for re-delivery the driver wouldn’t accept it from our warehouse team because the package wasn’t on his list. The customer contacted me furious that her order wasn’t delivered. When I contacted Swyft I was told the driver said he wasn’t given the package by the warehouse which was a lie. After being confronted with the lie he finally admitted that he didn’t pick it up. In the meantime the client didn’t want the order anymore as her experience with us as a company was a huge turn off because of Swyft. I had to issue the client a refund and told Swyft that I had to do so. However, when the driver came the next day the package was on his list to deliver and he demanded the warehouse give it to him. As a result, the client had product delivered to her that she didn’t pay for and there is no way for me to get it back.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Sara called me up to tell me that our warehouse was too far and they were losing money on picking up from us. They would have to charge is a $50 pick up fee for each pick up.
I don’t recommend Swyft. James over promised and under-delivered. Not only that, their app is absolutely not worth $99/month. It’s extremely basic and just really shows the orders that need to be picked up and delivered. That’s it. There is no ability to mark orders as shipped. And their proof of delivery is a spreadsheet they send every day that contains an image link that’s not clickable. You have to copy the image and paste it in your browser to see the image.
I’m so disappointed in my experience with Swyft. It wasn’t worth it.
