I unistall the app but after that it still exists on my store. Free are never free as you can see!!!!

The App itself is good, but beware if you uninstall it. It will continue to charge you $15.00/mo, despite it being uninstalled from your store and not in use. I used it for a month, then cancelled it, only to have it bill me for no reason. If I had not been aware, it would have billed me indefinitely.

We highly recommend cancelling any active subscriptions before uninstalling the chat widget.
If you have purchased our Annual subscriptions, the subscription will be active until the next billing date and no further charges will be made.
To ensure you're not billed again, please log in to the tawk.to Dashboard and select Admin > Billing > Cancel.
Annual subscriptions are discounted because of the commitment to pay upfront for the entire year ahead. As per our Terms of Service, we are unable to offer any refunds.

OMG Is this really free? Seriously? Many many awesome features - thanks. Lots of customize options - and instant support!!! Was using chatra and loved their free trial, but just couldn't pay almost $200/year for all those fun extra options in a chat app. This has the same (if not more) features and its FREE (no trial - just FREE) - the best point of all!!! Thanks a million!!!

The app is good as far as function goes, but it appeared to slow my site down significantly. When it was installed, there was 8 - 10 seconds after the page loaded when nothing on the page could be selected. When I removed the app everything appears to be loading normally again.

The tawk.to widget does not load until after your website is fully loaded. As a result, your page load speed will not be affected by having a tawk.to widget on your site.
Any testing tools for page speed will not include your widget loading time in the results. After your web page loads, the request to load your widget is made.
These are some common causes of slow web page loading:
-Slow or interrupted internet connection
-Browser or operating system updates needed
-Multiple redirects
-Conflicting browser extensions (check for ad blockers and site blockers)
-Malware
-Hardware/storage limitations
-Background apps
We use an HTTP2 protocol to ensure faster page loading. Unlike HTTP/1, HTTP/2 uses multiplexing to handle multiple requests to the server simultaneously, cutting load time significantly.

Very difficult to install. I tried 5 times and also used one of the videos and it wouldnt show up pn my store. time waster.

There are two ways to add the tawk.to widget to your site.
#1 - Copy and paste the tawk.to widget code into your site's HTML before the closing body tag.

#2 - Use the Plugin for Shopify.
To download the tawk.to app from Shopify, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your Shopify dashboard.
2. Then visit https://apps.shopify.com/tawk-to.
3. Click the Add app button for the tawk.to app.
4. Select the green Install app button to continue. You'll then be prompted to log in to your tawk.to account and give permission to Shopify.
5. Then log in to your tawk.to account from the tawk.to app in your Shopify dashboard and choose the property and widget you would like to add to your site.
The widget will be added to all pages of your Shopify site.

For free it's a great app with lots of functions. However, I've had an issue arise and even two weeks later I'm struggling to get a response. The support specialists can't offer a time frame and I feel like they don't particularly care about the issue.
Update. It's now 7/09/20. I opened case on 28/06/20 and I still don't have a response. I am still getting no help when asking how long it will take for a response.
My issue is related to the scheduler not turning on and off when it's supposed to meaning that people are expecting chats when I'm not online and getting annoyed when no one is responding. I'm wondering if they're waiting for the UK time change??!
Yes the option is there to do it manually but that is ensuring that you remember to turn it on and off when necessary. It's frustrating that there is an option to schedule online and offline hours but it doesn't work.

There are some circumstances in which we have to escalate cases to find answers and it takes additional time to revert back to you.
The Scheduler allows you to manage the operating days and times of the widget.
Its purpose is to make the widget go offline, even if there are Agents logged in.
For example, let's say you’ve scheduled your widget to appear online from 9 AM - 5 PM.
If you log in before 9 AM, you will not receive chats and your visitor will get the offline form.
The same thing happens when the clock hits 5 PM. Even if there are agents online, the widget is forced to go offline.
