We listen for new orders on your shop and if one of the orders contains a product which you've setup to receive a tax receipt then we take care of it. Your customers will receive a second email (in addition to their order receipt from Shopify) containing a PDF tax receipt for their donation.
Both the email and the pdf are fully customizable using Liquid the same easy to use markup language used by Shopify.

I like this app it is simple to use. Only thing I suggest is they add upload image to for logo/letterhead to go on the receipts.

Kevin is great - really responsive, and the app is easy to set up. But non-profits and charities should be aware that there doesn't appear to be a way to create a list of tax receipts that have been sent to donors, as per Canada Revenue Agency requirements. And it can't be created manually, either, because the app doesn't save a copy of the receipts that it has sent, according to Kevin. He and I have chatted about this, and one option is to have someone adapt the app to accommodate this.
This app is solid! Works perfect for our needs and the support from Kevin has been stellar. Highly recommend it.
Thank you to Kevin for creating this app. It was the missing link to allow us to use shopify as a platform for our fundraiser. Kevin even customized the PDF for us so that the receipts would accomidate our needs. His response to our questions were quick and to the point. I would highly reccomend this app to anyone who needs this service in conjunction with their shopify store.
