I've been using TaxJar for nearly a year now and am beyond impressed with it's capabilities.

Before TaxJar I used to file Florida Sales Taxes quarterly and it was a nightmare. Now with TaxJar I have the entire process automated and never have to worry about sales and use tax again!

I simply connected my Shopify store with 1 click, I enrolled for Autofile and connected my Business Certificate Number with Florida + My Bank Account. Now for less than $20 a month and $20 per file I NEVER have to worry about sales taxes again!!!!

I can focus on selling hammocks. Woot Woot.

My experience has been just like everyone else... once they get you into a contract they don't help you as they got your money which is all they want. :(

I tried other sale tax services, but nothing compares to Taxjar.com. Not only do they auto file in all states, but they do it at an affordable price. I have used Taxjar for close to two years now and have no want to use any other service.

Fantastic app! We've been using TaxJar for almost 6 months. From a time-management standpoint this is our favorite app. TaxJar has turned what used to be a stressful and headache-filled time filing our taxes into a stress-free, 5 or 10 minute job. The breakdown of the sales we had in each state and the taxes owed in those individual states has cut the time we spend preparing our taxes by 90%. We now have more time to focus on growing our business and taking care of our customers rather than dealing with spreadsheets and columns of numbers. It also made our federal tax calculations much easier because we could match the sales listed in TaxJar against those we'd tracked ourselves. Buy this app. It will save you time and give you peace of mind.

WARNING: whenever you use the edit function on an order in shopify and you remove products (e.g. order changes prior to shipping), the removed product will be included in your revenue that tax jar uses for auto file. Reached out to their support after we discovered thousands of dollars in overpaid taxes and was told "just don't use the edit order functionality". This essentially renders the app useless for shopify. We are in process of cleaning this up - we may need to eat a huge chunk of overpaid sales tax here.

It's pretty useful when you have access to it. I'm having trouble getting in right now, but support is non-existent. Nobody will speak on the phone unless you want to talk with sales staff. Chat support is really just email. $149/monthly does not get you the most basic account support. I'm now looking elsewhere.

We love this app! TaxJar is Amazing! It’s really seamless and works exactly as advertised. We have been using it for a few weeks now and we have had no problems. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone on Shopify.

Update: After complaining to TaxJar, they did agree to amend one of my returns free of charge. Importing tax exempt order settings from Shopify is still an issue though, and I hope they fix it soon. Two huge problems with this app: 1) If you mark an order as tax exempt in Shopify, TaxJar will completely ignore it and will add it to your total owed. If you don't manually mark every order as exempt in TaxJar as well, you'll end up remitting more tax than you owe. 2) They charge $25 per state per filing, and their tax calculations have not even once aligned with Shopify's calculations for me. I'm spending way more time than I should trying to figure out where the discrepancies lie. If you want them to amend an autofiling, it's a $99 fee. In theory, if everything worked properly, it'd be great. Unfortunately in practice it has been more trouble than it's worth.
