We ordered a shirt and mousepad to get a feel for the print quality. Neither match the preview. We've been trying to resolve it for days to find out why the tool lets you resize/position the images on the products, and then the print doesn't match it. I haven't gotten a satisfactory response yet, and we are giving up and trying someone else. Extremely disappointed in the waste of time and money spent so far, and now we are delaying the launch of the site while we start over elsewhere. Extremely unhappy.
Love the variety of products to choose from! Plus, The app is useful and the interface is easy to explore.
If I could give zero stars I would. I used this from the being because I wanted to test out this process. Their website and information looked easy and very professional. It took the first test order 4 weeks to get processed and shipped.
Now we had an order that came in that needed to be canceled. We canceled it in shopify and Teelaunch still shipped it to the customer. Then again the same situation happened, we sent an email and chat message and nothing. The order again has shipped to the customer and it shouldn't have.
For customer service they are terrible at responding back. If you don't mind your customers waiting up to 4 weeks to receive their product then Teelaunch is ok. If you don't care about B2B customer support then Teelaunch is ok.
We will more than likely not use Teelaunch again. There are others like Painful that are much better, a dollar or two more expensive but there service is fast and great B2B customer support.
Works great! Thanks! Easy way to set up a shop and sell some tees.
Excellent app! Very easy to use and super-fast. The Teelaunch team is very responsive -- they respond quickly to questions and issues.
The app itself is excellent, works well, and is easy to use. The samples I received were decent but not amazing. I would consider it "good enough" but not something I could charge a premium for.
The reason for the 3 stars is because when I received the package it had my personal information all over it. The shipping label contained my home address as the origin and the packing slip contained my personal phone number.
Teelaunch has a specific area within their app for you to enter your personal information. This information is for their internal use. They also have a business information area for things such as business return address and business phone number. While, I was sure to keep my personal information separate from my business information, teelaunch just threw it on their label and packing slip.
I did reach out to support about this problem. I was told they didn't know where the business information gets pulled from. I sent them pictures of the problem on the label, slip, and within their app. They said they would reach out to development.
It's nice that they may eventually work on a fix but I have since removed the t-shirts from my shop. The relaxed response from support makes me feel that there is no sense of urgency. I wonder how many merchants have unknowingly exposed their personal information to their customers due to this problem.
This is not the first time I've had packaging issues with TL. I had another issue with packaging and marketing materials last year [different shop].
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! HORRIBLE PRODUCTION TIME! NASTY NASTY NASTY! These guys changed the turn around time from 5 days to 9 days without telling me! My items primarily sell on eBay so I ended up getting a bunch of shipping defects and now my seller rating has fallen below standard. Anyone who sells on eBay knows this is DEATH to your sales and near impossible to dig yourself out of the hole for a WHOLE YEAR! My sales have dropped 75% because of Teelaunch. Whats worse is that they continue to be non-apologetic about it - they act like it's MY fault! Do yourself a favor and move your stuff over to Gooten. Their CSR's are actually HELPFUL and they use the exact same printers (but ship items MUCH faster). Well worth the extra few dollars you pay for the service! OH YEAH - and Teelaunch still has a small cosmetic bag of mine "in production" for going on 9 days now! Even after I removed all my products from their fulfillment I'm STILL getting screwed!
still trying to figure out a way to group items by design rather than product type. not sure if you do this anymore. regardless though, the app is super easy to use and a huge help in streamlining the shopify experience. love the delivery times as well!
Like it very much. Very easy to use. Clean interface.
Positives:
1) Really really good app! Fantastic process of setup, although you can't easily set every combination.
2) Product came quickly
3) They list the value of multiple tshirts as $10 (total) so that customs doesn't bother charging Canadian customers for importing - nice. Potentially illegal though.
Negatives:
1) Not great email customer service. I think they're still ramping this team up. That said, when I asked for a phone call with a manager, it got a response within a couple of hours. Not a deal breaker.
2) They basically have two tshirt types that are exactly the same but different labels on them. They were really helpful in explaining that I didn't need to pay more for the more expensive tshirt. But I ended up deciding to do so for the perceived value of the product I'd be shipping. Only thing was, they didn't HAVE the expensive one in stock, so rather than contact me and ask what I wanted, they just opted to send MY product out to MY customer on the cheaper shirt.... and charged me the extra buck for the more expensive tshirt. I didn't like them making decisions about my brand that way. To their credit, they immedaitely refunded me 100% when I complained and they said it would never happen again. Not a deal breaker.
3) Their system is really picky about the size of the image. I can understand why it shouldn't be too small, but how can it be too large? Not a deal breaker.
4) Their printing process leaves a smell on the shirts that resembles vinegar. It dissipates after a wash or two, but it's pretty strong coming out of the package. When we ordered a test run of a half-dozen shirts the team in the office complained until we sealed them back up. Not a deal breaker.
4) Their printing process involves making subtle changes to the image to optimize how it looks on a tshirt. In my case, it printed a white background behind the colour ink to make it pop. That might work for other images, but our product is faux-vintage. There are "holes" in the images to represent where the shirt is worn.
Without the holes, the product doesn't look right. Ultimately it was this product incompatibility that caused us to switch to Printful. If it hadn't been the case, I probably would have continued to work with them... and I might work with them on other products. I will update this review as I try that.
