Please STAY AWAY from this app. Particularly if you have many SKUs; whenever you receive an order, it will require you to manually go to the app, find the order, and select MANUALLY which items belong to teelaunch and which items don't. It's an absolute waste of time. I had to refund my first order and delete the app after a week of trying to fix the app. The customer service is basically useless as well.
I’m Christopher, founder of teelaunch. While critical feedback is heard to hear it’s the only way we can get better, so thank you for leaving this review. While developing our app we wanted to make it easy for people to bring in products to teelaunch that they use to fulfill themselves or with someone else. That is why we created the product linking feature, which lets you link your Shopify products with your teelaunch products for fulfillment. For the vast majority of our customers this is a non-issue as products created in our app are automatically linked and no manual work is necessary to designate products as teelaunch products.
Your use case is a little different. It seems like you either fulfill yourself or through other providers more than a few products. We do have an ignore button that lets the app know that those products are not to be fulfilled by teelaunch but it was created with a smaller number of non-teelaunch products in mind. I’ve been working with the dev team to implement a feature that let you tell the app to ignore all unlinked (non teelaunch products). While this solution is coming too late for you, I appreciate your feedback so now users like you will be able to enjoy the app in the future.
This app has been nothing but hassles for my business. As an apparel e-com store owner I would not recommend them. Their app lacks basic functionality and features, if you have to do anything it takes forever and they have an extremely slow and difficult to use "manual ordering" setup.
If you want to place a manual order, forget it. You have to create a duplicate order in shopify where it emails your customer again and messes up your accounting adding the price onto your daily sales twice.
The "order processing" page looks like something out of a 1998 PC word document, has zero useful information and no ideas or ETA's or order processing.
Surprisingly their customer service is pretty on point, and had no problems there. However, end of the day the app has to work and it doesn't - unless you JUST STARTED a new store and have it sync'd up automatically from the beginning and ARE NOT SHIPPING TO CANADA, it's just going to cause you lost time, money and stress. I wouldn't even recommend it for USA orders.
If you're looking to ship POD use Printful instead or for Canada, use "redbubble".
It is ok, not as expected, and difficult to integrate with 2 shopify stores. Also pretty complicated to setup if something needs to be configured on shopify.
Please reach out to me at christopher@teelaunch.com I would love to see if there is any way to make your experience easier or better with teelaunch.
100% not worth the trouble. Please save yourself the stress.
I hesitated to post this because clearly it is not a positive review, but I went through so much trouble because of teelaunch it's a social responsibility for me to review it. On the upside, before I get into any of the bad: If your account is working fine, this service is just fine. If you have any problems though, you're out of luck because Teelaunch is not going to help you. One more positive thing, the quality of their prints is very good.
Ok so here's why I will not be using teelaunch again:
Even if high margins are your main objective as a seller, the unresponsiveness of Teelaunch will have you dealing with so much other time-consuming stuff that it's not worth it.
My account disappeared (mid-campaign) with them and I only noticed because all of my orders were not being fulfilled. I was unable to launch new product after that too. So I was stuck on making the income from a single campaign until they figured it out.
I reached out to customer support and received one response and then nothing after that for nearly a week. All of my emails were so polite and simply requesting a message of reassurance that my account was being attended to. I got nothing.
I was finally able to reach them via Facebook Messenger. They were slightly more responsive via Facebook, but still entirely unhelpful. They told me they were “working on it” but I never experienced any progress, only a growing list of weary customer emails to respond to. All this time I was trying to reach Teelaunch so that I could relay information back to my customers and they were just not responding to me again.
What pushed me over the edge was when my personal paypal account had a claim filed against it because a customer who bought a shirt on my site via Teelaunch went 11 days without any notification from Teelaunch. I let Teelaunch know that this was happening on my end, they saw the messages (facebook messenger) and yet again they just did not respond.
I told them I was switching to a new provider because I had to attend to my customers, and asked if they had any news for me. I asked if any of the orders had been fulfilled so that I could transfer services without any duplicates, and they finally responded with, “please email”. Email doesn’t get me anywhere with Teelaunch but I emailed them anyways, and guess what happened? No response.
The time I spent handling customer service because I am never able to get answers from Teelaunch is not worth the extra x dollars per shirt. Since the problem arose, I have spent every morning going through concerned customer emails. Not to mention having claims filed against my personal paypal. Customers were requesting returns and the returns ended up costing ME $1.50. On top of that customers were requesting that I pay for their expedited shipping for Teelaunch’s error. This is not a routine I am going to adjust to and frankly it’s just unacceptable. I’ve lost so much time and money dealing with them.
I understand that the holidays are a busy season, but to be so dismissive of someone is just rude.
A simple, “I’m sorry we cannot help you." Would have been better than telling me that you CAN help me once, leading me to believe that I should stay with you, but then ignoring me and not helping me while the work piles up on my end.
Teelaunch’s unresponsiveness has set me back by nearly half a month.
I had to switch all of my orders to a new service, respond to all of the customer emails, and based on Teelaunch's inability to respond to messages I have to to touch base with each customer directly. What a crazy amount of work for something that I had no part in.
The good to come from this experience: I truly understand the value behind good customer service after this bad experience with teelaunch. It functions as a necessary courtesy for others.
Tip for if this is happening to you or if you’re considering teelaunch: Switch to Teescape. It costs just as much as Teelaunch basically, and they actually have customer service. I talked to Jeff there and he seriously took care of me. He was so helpful with the entire process and did everything on his end with he utmost care.
I will not be returning to Teelaunch and I advise that you save yourself the trouble and find a different company to work with.
Although I had a few issues with my first order, I spoke with the owner and he upgraded shipping to 2nd day air so my customer would get their order within the time frame allotted. I have not heard back yet regarding quality of items ordered. No news is good news? Maybe.
Pro's
1. Easy app
2. Good Prices
3. Decent, on the verge of good, customer service. I received quick replies, but was given incorrect information at certain times. But, they were willing to look at the situation for me.
4. Customer received product within the stated time frame.
Con's
1. The shipping charge on the invoice was less than what I was charged by quite a bit. I was told the shipping charge would never be the same as what the invoice shows. I use shopify "lite" so that may have had something to do with it. Either way, I was told I would have to add up the shipping cost manually for every order I place. I'd rather not do that.
2. It took 10 days for my order to ship. I had to reach out to them after 9 days to see why it was taking so long and was told it would take longer to ship since it was a larger order. I had 13 items total, made up of 2 different products.
3. Their production time and shipping rules need to be made clearer. If you order more than one type of product, it may take longer than the statd 3-5 days to ship. Owner stated he would make that clearer on his website.
BEWARE Store Owners - teelaunch Customer service is seriously lacking. Be prepared to send 2-3 emails before getting the specific information you requested, if at all. Shipping issues from my very sample first order. I ordered samples on 2/25 and as of 3/14 the shipment still not received by carrier (USPS) despite listed 3-7 day production time. Multiple attempts to get updated information/status but have only been provided the tracking information again and again with no further explanations and no attempt to make it right.
For example: If you are used to Printful's level customer service - you will need to drastically adjust your expectations for teelaunch.
Aside from that, their pricing/cost is more favorable for the seller in most cases.
Give them a try, but be aware they might not resolve your customer service issues to your satisfaction.
Support very very good! Trusted platform!
I attempted to use this app to provide my customers with a better product. What I've gotten are headaches with their non-functional app and miss communication from their ingenious customer support team when I try to explain to them their app isn't adding products into my SHOPIFY store, NOT an ETSY store. I reiterated that fact and my problem in 2 different emails and they still failed to understand anything. I'm staying far away.
I’m Christopher, the founder of teelaunch and I thank you for bringing this to my attention. Customer service is difficult for everyone. You don’t like having problems that force you to contact us and we don’t like having you be upset. Some issues are transactional in nature and are easy to solve. You need to cancel an order, no problem give us the order number and we’ll take care of it.
Other issues that are specific to you are more difficult to solve. Part of this comes down to the channels of communication. Email is great for many things but not nuanced technical issues. We’ve taken this feedback under advisement and we're working on a separate channel of technical support that we'll undertake via the phone. It’s our hope that this will reduce the amount of misunderstandings that happen when trying to explain something a bit more difficult via email.
This app just sucks! The UI in the app is unbearable and i can't even look at my orders, There are plenty of other print on demand apps that are way more better than this. Would not recommend unless you want your brand to go down hill!
I have a lot of mixed feelings about Teelaunch and I would love to see them improve their interface, as they seem to really care about their customers, but I must choose to go elsewhere after over 20 hours of tweaking my collection and having to start again from scratch. I just realized today, when I was ready to launch, that their interface has a glitch that will alter design sizes (please read below) when you are creating multiple garments using the same design/file.
The good:
- Customer support is amazing. A girl named Kristy answered my questions in 5 minutes or less during business hours. I had some questions about resolution and Dave was helpful and even recorded a video showing me how to fix my problem.
- When you upload one design, you can create many different types of t-shirts (unlike Printful, where you need to create each piece individually). This should be basic on every POD. I don't understand having to upload the same image on every. single. t-shirt.
What I'd love to see changed:
- Many times when you finish to place your design and you hit "Create", the interface bugs and you need to start from scratch.
- Many time while you're adjusting your design on a piece (let's say on a t-shirt), the interface changes the size on other pieces as well (that was the last drop for me).
- There are only three options of moving your design on a garment. This means you need to create a single individual size for each product, except for t-shirts.
- Automatically their interface will cut down your design where it has transparent areas. The problem about this is that, for example, if your design is too close to the neck, as you only have 3 pre-determined options of placement on the t-shirt (no dragging), you need to reopen your design on Illustrator, create an invisible pixel on it so it doesn't get trimmed by their interface, export and upload it again. It's annoying because sometimes it looks great on a Hoodie but it looks bad on a Baby's Bodysuit.
- The info of the products and titles DO NOT go automatically to the description, which I find to be really time-consuming. This means you need to copy it individually from their website (or uploading area) and paste them individually on each product. I ended up downloading a bulk editor.
- The measurement of clothing come only on a single PDF, so you have to navigate through it, find the garments you are working with and then type them down manually, as you cannot just copy and paste them on a chart.
I have tried all PODs that have reviews above 4 and I understand no POD will be perfect, but at this point, I was going to have to redo my entire collection as I just noticed the interfacing changing my design sizes continuously.
I loved their customer support and I do hope they improve these issues that make it really hard to work around despite my best efforts (such as creating invisible pixels, typing down all measurements manually, using an external bulk editor. If they do, I'd be happy to revisit my review and their interface.
