How does Product A/B testing work?

1. Use the app to select a product
2. Change the product attributes on version B
3. Start the test and let it gather data
4. Check the stats in the app to see which version is winning

The app will swap the 2 versions every day at midnight and track the stats.

How does Theme A/B testing work?

1. Duplicate your live theme
2. Make a change to the new theme (maybe the add to cart button color)
3. Choose the 2 themes to test and start the A/B split test
4. Check back and analyze your stats to see which website features / version performs better

The app will swap the 2 versions at the interval you choose (daily, hourly, etc) and track the stats: Orders, Sales, Adds to cart, Visitors, Sessions, Page views.

How long to split test?

2 weeks is a good minimum time frame but the longer a test runs and the higher the statistical significance level, the more accurate your results will be.

What is statistical significance?

This is a mathematical formula to predict the probability that 1 version is better than the other.

Theme Scientist includes statistical significance calculations for every A/B test.

Free Theme Scheduler feature

You can set a theme to publish at a specific time in the future.

This is great for publishing promotions at exactly the time you want without having to be online to make changes or set a new theme live.

The scheduler is also useful for running daily flash sales where new themes / graphics need to be swapped every hour.
