Such a great app. Checking for updates is something I forget to do. Now in the last two months, I have easily updated Baby Bootique's theme twice via this app. I still have a bit of merging work to do because of customizations but if you don't have any custom code in your theme, it's a one click update!
I installed it yesterday, and I already publish updated version of Retina theme. It was very easy and simple to do. I really like this app. I'm expecting another upgrade on the theme soon.
I had no problems with this app. Out of the Sandbox has wonderful customer service and I had quick and friendly help every time I had questions or a problem.

We've been on the Shopify platform for coming up on six years now and the evolution of the theme features on Shopify has been nothing short of phenomenal. Keeping up every step of the way has been Out of the Sandbox. It has leveraged and extended every new advancement in Shopify theme functionality to bring fantastic, conversion-enhancing features to the masses.
Theme Updater is a natural outgrowth of Out of the Sandbox's expertise and a real blessing given the complexity of otherwise updating to take advantage of new features the company reliably roles out. We previously avoided updating our heavily customized theme like the plague. Now, most of it happens seamlessly with the areas in need of manual attention detailed.
On top of that is top-notch support (thanks Salman!). So we strongly recommend Out of the Sandbox themes and this app to make upgrading a lot less tedious and downright simple if you only make modest code changes here and there.

EDIT 1/16 After leaving this review, their team explained my problem more accurately and they offered a better and more practical solution which I appreciate. Terrible app, terrible customer experience. I updated my theme and the result was awful: translations missing, errors, the product images, prices and description don’t show correctly and they don't adapt correctly to the screen either. I tried contacting support and they told me that's normal so I have to fix them? How am I supposed to fix them when its not a design problem but a deeper code problem? Also they are charging me even though the app didn't do what it promised and after cancelling the first day.

Thank you for your feedback! When updating your theme to OS 2.0, all content, such as home page content, will need to be rebuilt.
This is a one-time process required by Shopify to align with new templating standards. You will still be able to use the Theme Updater to help streamline your updates with future releases.

Out Of The Sandbox emailed to say the Free or Basic Plan would automatically increase to $9 a month but failed to give a date when this would start. I do not want to be charged for something that a. used to be free and b. I only use maybe once or twice a year. Uninstalled.
I was very quick to judge the app, so I am taking the time to re-write this review. It was extremely helpful, and any problems that I had during the update process were my own.

This app works like a charm and gets the job done without any problems. Support is also quick and fantastic, often going above and beyond what I expect of them.
I recently purchased the Parallax theme and just about have my store set up to open and now I get an email saying to automatically update the theme is now $9 per month. I honestly wish this would have happened sooner so I would have purchased a theme from a different provider.
