Theme Updater & Backups | OOTS

Simply a must for any business who hasn't modified too much of their sites code. Very easy to use and fair pricing for what you're getting in return!

Wonderful app. Made upgrading so much easier. Support was great in answering my questions.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE service. This company updates their theme every two weeks but every time you update your theme, it messes up all your custom coding. They don't have a phone number to contact, only by email, which is fine - if they actually respond and help with your concerns.

We have used this app since its release.
Be aware of that many 3rd Party Themes does not offer Automatic Theme Updates. You need then to download the newest theme, and do all the customization once again (this can take much time / have a high cost).

However, the themes from Out of the Sandbox offers a Automatic Theme Updater. That is a huge advantage.

We have a website with many 3rd party apps, and a 3rd party Theme Editor.
When using this, all changes we have made are included into the new updated version.

If some code will not be transferred, we are notified of that in the app.
Please note their app have two price points, one with support within 3 days, and one with priority support.

In my opinion the cost of both the plans are easy to justify, if you run a business with revenue.

We have updated the Turbo-Portland theme from Shopify to the new Shopify 2.0 theme with no problems, using Theme Updater Plus.

If we need help, the support from Out of the Sandbox has allways been great.
We had a serious problem with a 3rd party app that was not compatible with the theme. We was sent in all direction, everyone pointing towards another. Out of the Sandbox stepped up, gave us clear instruction, and solved the problem for us, although the error was with another app.

Conclusion: We are happy with both the products and support offered by Out of the Sandbox, and a big thanks to Euwi!

Update: The issue is still not resolved. We've paid every month this year (and years past) but the app still says we are "unsubscribed" as of February. We've sent proof of payment to Out of the Sandbox multiple times. As per Shopify, our "unsubscribed" subscription is set to renew/charge us again on June 5th. We just want access to the app we've been using and paying for for years! ///
Original: We've been using this app for years without issue. About four months ago the app said we were "unsubscribed" despite still being charged the monthly fee. We've been unable to update our themes since and are still being charged the monthly fee. Customer Support is non-responsive despite being provided proof of payment(s).

Excellent updater, yes it costs $9 a month but you also get customer support and regular updates. Thankyou so much to the whole OOTS team for your product, service and support.

OOTS/Pixel Union has been great!! This app is helpful for updating your theme without needing to know all the ins and outs of theme management. I am not code-savvy so this was my go to and very helpful to catch my store up to speed. Customer service by Myles was phenomenal as well, providing clear and easy solutions to all my little edits and questions. Thank you SO much!

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant! The fact that this app is produced by Out of the Sandbox should reassure you that the quality and support are both second to none. We have been using the Parallax theme by Out of the Sandbox since 2019, alongside this app, and we are absolutely blown away by its high quality and ease of use. Awful experience. I bought their superstore theme and it is full of bugs. When I updated the pagination to infinite scroll, the filters, menu and other buttons stopped working. Awful theme which has clearly not been tested. Support is extremely slow and unhelpful - I am being ping ponged back and forth without a solution. All in all, awful experience with the fundamental elements of the store not working and being full of bugs.
