Worst experience with a Shopify app I have ever had. After installing the app, I noticed that the translations weren't displaying correctly and that different currencies weren't showing. I asked the support team for help and after giving them some access to my store, they kept me on chat for about 2 hours. After 2 hours, and very little progress, they told me that they needed increased admin access to be able to edit my markets, I explained multiple times that I was not going to give said access as it would be in breach of customer data legislation and would expose my customer data to a third party (they were requesting orders access).

The support team ignored my explaination and kept saying that this was going to be the only way to fix the issue. As we weren't making any progress and the support team insisted on getting me to grant them access to my customer data, I asked for a refund. Then I was told that as per their t&cs, if I refused to give "staff account" access that would be against their refund policy and therefore I couldn't get a refund. I explained that I shouldn't find myself in the position of breaching data law in order to be compliant with their policies but again that fell on deaf ears.

Through their behaviour they've shown how little they care about data security so I wouldn't recommend this app to anybody. Besides, the refund request is now "being assessed", I doubt I'll ever see the money again. Waste of time.

Since translation and currency are working under Shopify Markets rule, that's why we ask for the Markets permission (Shopify has defined that to access Markets, it will require those permission). However, it was our mistake for not understanding your explanation about your country privacy policy.

interface looks pretty good. was unable to pick the language i wanted to translate to(ok now). there are many options for me to use, seems like it is well liked by other store owners.

I would recommend this app for an all you need translation apps. As a website builder whats important for me is how easy it is to be able to translate on a page level, replace images, SEO TRANSLATIONS and have it in proper subfolders. The support on Transcy is quick and they do solve your issues. For me i had some trouble with my theme displaying the switcher, they took care of this completely.

There were a few limitations wrt. 3rd party translations and currency displays. All in all a great app, easy to use and navigate. Quick response from support team is always a plus!
