Trying to get the languages to work on shopify from the app was confusing, then when the agent would send a screen shot on what to do, it would come with an error msg 404 and it was just to much to go through for something as simple as changing the languages

Throughout your conversation, although you met some troubles with setting up the translation from our app, the agent still helped you resolve all of your concerns.
With 404 error, this is not a bug from the app. The cause is from your language versions created on your Shopify admin before. For making it clear, if you have added other languages in Shopify admin before but have not enabled/published those languages for your store domain yet, then it will cause this problem.

support is nice and competent. unfortunately with 1000+ products, the app doesn't make sense (checkout not translatable, corrections not possible)

With your feedback about our limitation with +1000 products, I've already forwarded to my Dev team and noted down to our update list. We're aware of this limitation would might affect not only to your business but also other customers. Because of some technical limit and server, we've been trying to improve this downside and definitely will consider and change this limitation better in the near improvement. So please stay tuned. Will keep you updated once got any news.
For translating checkout page and editing translation, you have to just add language as advance language. You added language as basic that's the reason it was not translating checkout page and you were unable to edit translation. As I have seen that my colleague has sent you follow-up email please let them know if you need further support.

Great customer service. A little pricey,but overall good. The website can improve a bit on manual translation - it can be easier with better editing features on the website.

5 star for good customer service and 3 star for basic setup on a free plan. When I switched the app to Vietnamese, it changed the font of my website to an ugly looking font :( but the English version is still OK. You'll also need to upgrade to a paid plan if you want the language to show as a button instead of a dropdown list.

In relation to your issues as following:
1. For the font issue of your target language as Vietnamese, our app does not change your font when switching to target language, we just translate text and still keep the same font as your default language. For the customization of font for target language, unfortunately it is not possible to do that at the moment. However, I still note your point and our Dev team will take it into consideration in the future release, so I highly appreciate your empathy on this situation
2, "how can I setup Vietnamese first without the user to click on the dropdown to change the language?" => it's auto switch language function, it will be available from Growth plan and above

The app has a user friendly frontend. Great agents supports. Unfortunately the app does not let you chose what pages do you want to translate when you are in the onboarding process.

it's not easy to use at first but with some help it's fine. The person who helped me understood my problems and answered all my questions.
The only small problem is that you cannot change the currency on checkout. I don't have the possibility to have shopify payment in my country so it's a shame.

For your main concern as unable to change the currency on checkout page because your country has not supported Shopify payment yet, I would like to sympathize with you in this situation. However, this problem is not coming from our app and it's fully control by Shopify. To change the currency on checkout page or your customer can see their local currency on checkout page, you have to use Shopify payment. For further support about this kind of payment, you please contact Shopify for further support.

For free plan, although you can add only one target language to translate, we offer more highlighted features such as edit translation, customize switcher style, convert up to 167 target currency or Auto Switch Currency by location, etc,... Works as it's supposed to. Customer service is great, however I think it's too expensive for what it does.

Staff is super helpful and even contacted me to help me install the language/currency dropdown themselves. The only downside is it overlaps everything on the site when scrolling. I thought it would be managed via the Shopify language switcher, so I'm not sure I'll keep it.
