Deze app vertaalt je site binnen enkele minuten in een andere taal. Ideaal als je graag ook in andere landen/talen wil verkopen. Echter zijn er naast de moedertaal maar 2 andere talen mogelijk om toe te voegen.

I have using this ever since I bought my new theme and my site is very heavy and just now getting to all of the technical Search Console stuff. This app is causing over 3000 errors on google search console with it turned on in my theme. All of these pages after checking are the translated app pages. ERROR__Page indexing Alternate page with proper canonical tag error---ALL FROM THIS APP. No Wonder I have no visitors on my site tc-beauty.com

The translations are quite OK considering it's free. However I'm facing an annoying problem - the app is using some old content from my first app installation a few months back. I had started translating but deinstalled the app as I didn't need it anymore. Last week I reinstalled it and I can see that the app used some of my old content. I cannot understand how it happened, but somehow the content has not been updated during the automatic translation of my shop. In consequence, the text is not properly translated. There's also no option to translate text on the main page. I'm translating from French to German - as I'm fluent in both, I can see that there are many mistakes which makes it look very unprofessional. I'd appreciate if someone could tell me how to reach the support team.

EDIT - Rich from the support team reached out to me 1-2 days after I submitted my review and provided concise explanations and the needed solutions for the issues I had been facing. I realized that I had overlooked the feature for editing the homepage directly in Translate&Adapt which I apology for. As I wrote before, the translations are good and the app is simple and straightforward to use (unless you overlook a feature like I did). The only negative point and the reason why I'm giving it 4* is because the app only allows you to translate the content into two languages although I assume most store owners would need to have their pages translated into at least 3 languages if they are active in or want to expand internationally. Hope that in the future a paid plan will be offered. I'd definitely pay for one or two more automatic translations. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the app as it perfectly fits my needs for now.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the support I have received for your app. This has been the worst support experience of my life.

After two weeks of waiting and being assured by your support team that the issue would be resolved, I was informed that you are aware of the problem where the export function sends completely incorrect TYPE values. Out of 3875 entries, only 8 are correct for import.

To quote your support team: “Type was unintentionally changed to something different in the export than we expect for the import.”

This situation is unacceptable, and I am very frustrated with the lack of effective resolution. I expect immediate action to correct this issue.

Since December 5, 2024, the app has stopped working correctly.
Previously, everything functioned fine. When I selected a language on my shop, I could also change the currency, and the language remained unchanged. Now, translations work properly only if the shop's default currency is selected.

My default currency is USD. If I choose USD and set the language to, for example, Italian which I translated, everything works perfectly. However, if I change the currency to Euro, the translations stop working.

This issue has never happened before, so the problem must originate from the app. I haven’t made any changes to my shop.

Edit:
Shopify support has confirmed that the problem is due to their application update...

4 Sterne weil die APP ist top also, ist eine der wichtigsten features im shop. Aber 4 sterne weil warum nur 2 Sprachen. Bitte arbeitet an einem Update das man mehr als 2 sprachen haben kann dann sofort 5 Sterne

Very bed option. first of all they use google translate that goes really bad. second, just after conversation with shopify support they enlightened me that shopify and this app (owned by shopify) isnt support multi languages combined with their own feature "MetaFields" so if you are planning to setup multi-language store and use meta fields dont do it and choose only 1 language for the store. Very disappointing for platform who charge money for multiple products but doesnt support it. the joke is on us, i recommend to use whocommerce rather than shopify that offers you options of 4 years old developer.

Après avoir passé beaucoup de temps pour compléter et améliorer les traductions générées automatiquement et pour traduire chaque url du site (chose à faire manuellement), j'ai découvert que cette application pénalise le SEO de mon site. En effet, depuis l'installation de Shopify Translate & Adapt, Google Search Console m'a signalé l'apparition de nombreuses pages en double (duplicate content). Ceci est très mauvais pour le SEO (référencement naturel). Comme cette application a été développée par Shopify, j'ai donc contacté l'assistance Shopify. L'assistance m'a gentiment proposé de me débrouiller tout seul en allant sur le forum de Shopify. Ainsi l'assistance Shopify refuse de gérer ce problème technique et je vais devoir désinstaller cette application car elle pénalise le référencement naturel de mon site. Très déçu par l'assistance de Shopify au vu du temps perdu et du prix payé chaque mois !
