The best translation app we used so far - makes life much easier. It would be really nice if it was able to translate internal links also, so it links to the page of the same language.
Thanks so much for trying out the app and the feedback! For internal links, these can be done so that the locale is retained. Use the format, for example, /collections/all (i.e. start with the backslash, then the subdirectory, no domain) and it should keep the language.
I was pleasantly surprised that it actually translated everything pretty well. I only changed a couple of words to make it more personalized but I am loving this app! Definitely recommend!
Simple and easy
Sehr wertvoll für uns, da wir gerade in die Niederlande expandieren. Vorher immer Drittanbieter genutzt, aber nie 100%, weil es zu kompliziert oder teuer war. Solche Apps sind immer wieder eine Bestätigung für uns, bei Shopify richtig zu sein. :-)
Its super helpful, thought translating would take days but only took a couple hours.
This app is horrible in so many ways.
No way to set default language without UNINSTALLING the language you translated??? what's that?
lets say I set up 3 langauges, English (Default), Polish and Icelandic, translate everything. and then want to make Icelandic the Default one, that will DELETE my translation and I need to start over, but NO, that won't work because that language does not have the assets strings to be translated when default...
I lost weeks of translation work due to this app and my store is a mess
Hi there, thanks for trying out the app and sorry to hear you've had a rough experience. It sounds like you're describing Settings > Languages functionality issues rather than Translate & Adapt, but we'll be in touch nonetheless and sort all we can.

It works great, the only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because the app only allows you to translate 2 languages. I think that there should be at least 3 languages.

Funktioniert -soweit ich das erkenne- gut für alles, was direkt zum Shopify Theme gehört. ABER: Wie bekomme ich TEXTE IN APPS oder meinen FILTER auf der Shopseite übersetzt??? Erscheint bei mir (Dawn Theme) nicht in der Localization. Eigentlich wollte ich dafür zwei Sterne abziehen, aber da gratis nur -1 Stern. Für jeden Hinweis bin ich dankbar!!
Hi there, thanks for trying out the app and your feedback. Some answers to your questions: 1) Text in apps that don't save to the theme or metafields aren't visible to Translate & Adapt - as the app can only translate content saved to Shopify. To translate apps that save content externally, you will need to translate in the front end. One example is Langify, which has a feature called 'Custom content translations' - where you can add extra translations for the content that doesn't use the Translations API or is not in the theme. It will mean an additional app subscription. You can run Langify and Translate & Adapt together. Langshop also does this with its 'Dynamic text' feature, as does 'Translate My Store' by Hextom. A recommended alternative is to see if there is an app that has the functionality you need but works with the theme, or saves to metafields. 2) Filters will be visibly translated very soon - you won't need to do anything, as they make use of 'Product Option' translations.
