We’ve been long-time users of several Hextom apps and have always appreciated the quality and reliability they bring to our business. Unfortunately, our experience with the Hextom: Translate and Currency app has been quite disappointing. On our larger site, the app has consistently failed to function as expected, and despite months of back-and-forth with the support and development teams, the issues remain unresolved.
Given the high standard we’ve come to expect from Hextom, it was surprising and frustrating to encounter such challenges with this particular app. We hope that the team can address these problems soon, as we would love to see this app live up to the standards of the other Hextom products we rely on.

You can check this under Settings >> Markets >> US Market >> Product and Pricing. Because of these settings, the price displayed on your store may differ from what is shown in your Shopify admin >> Product page.

I have been a seller for three years, and this is my first time writing a review, as well as my first time giving a negative one. I strongly suspect that this plugin's AI translation is overcharging. Today, I clearly had a quota of over 10,000 words remaining, but suddenly, I was informed that I exceeded the limit by several tens of thousands of words. The customer service representative claimed that it was the total usage from August 1st to August 24th. So, do you not have real-time tracking? Why did the word count suddenly increase by so much? Moreover, what is the point of your so-called limit? It doesn’t seem to impose any restrictions, so why did I exceed the limit by such a large amount? If I want to continue using your AI translation, I now have to pay extra to cover this so-called "instant overage." Isn't this forcing us to spend more? This is a very serious bug.

No one is there to answer your query and help. I changed all the 200 + currencies with mannual exchange rate one by one manullay and they reset it to default from their end. On asking why, there is no such reply from their end. Total waste of time.
I am again adding my reveiw as of today 23/09/2024...still no one is replying and trying to help us out from HEXTOM
I test your app and all my store was compromised because of your app. My previous languages was deleted after I did that from the app.
Don t recommend. Also email support is very slow.
I was disappointed with the support I received. They didn’t assist me in installing the selector on the mobile version of the menu, and they didn’t even send a collaborator request to help with the widget installation. Unfortunately, I think it's time to explore other app options.
I am sorry to give only 1 star, but I really had bad experience with is App and also from the support team. The App translated our brand name to NOT or NON into different language, when I contacted the support team, they sent me the same mistake from screen cut of Google translater, BUT when I check with Google translater, there is no any mistake. Of course, I aked further, unfortunately I got always auto reples as below:

We apologize for the inconvenience. The incorrect translation was due to the "Basic Translation" feature used in your store. This issue won’t occur with our "Advanced Translation" feature. You are more than welcome to try our app and the "Advanced Translation" features, powered by OpenAI ChatGPT-4, which offers much better translation quality.

Very bad. Customer service often doesn't respond. And it crashes easily
Free plan limited to 5k translations. Useless, way better to use the Shopify Built app that is 100% free...

To clarify, our app offers unlimited Basic Translations, allowing you to translate up to five languages for free. The 5,000-word limit applies only to the Advanced AI Translation tool. In addition, We offer free trial for all the paid plans, so you can also use our free trial to get additional word credits for free.

My honest review to this app.. PLEASE READ WHY I UNINSTALL THIS APP
PROS:
1. Their conversion is most likely same as google conversion rate, which is good
2. They support multi language and their basic translation I notice there is a minimal issue, but overall for me is not an issue.
CONS:
1. This fu'king app damage my theme coding. My product page>variant color/style was damage. If you select specific color and style the picture of the product will not display above and the most critical is the selected color/style will not appear on check out page which is very important.. and this issue is not a minimal because variants plays a big role in your product listing. if there's a problem of it, it can create trouble of your futures clients.
2. Customer service, I can rate 3-out-10. WHY? People here are so unprofessional. If you have concerns they will say I have meeting I will answer you after the meeting.
3. Customization- so hard to get in touch with them to customize your currency locator position.
CONCLUSION:
MY OPENION THIS APP IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR THEME CODING, DONT INSTALL THE APP.
I reach out to shopify to file a formal complaint and to investigate this app, because it damage a lot for me I know shopify don't allow app that has no security measure especially if there app can cause damage to the customers theme. I consume 1 day to solve the issue.. because I need to reach out all app developer on my store that has added recently.. but after reaching out other app developer they say that this HEXTOM made a damage to my theme.. they send me the issue on code 215, about their currency formatting.. after that I file a complaint to shopify.. because I know shopify will not disregard this issue.. and for me I don't want this issue will pass without paying their damages they made on me. Because if shopify will not address this it can affect also to their credibility and many users maybe will affected and also shopify..
MY ADVICE ALSO because this is the third time I install Translate/currency switcher app but nothing of them has a good services, other app also there conversion is higher than google conversion, the other has lower conversion and also damage my chat box after I install their app.. and please don't always rely on 5 star rating, because developer tactics they always ask higher rating on the day you install the app thats why many users put 5 star rating after they install the app without any experience because they will give you the support about your concern which is their basic job.. sometimes they say please rate me according to the assistance I gave it to you.. but actually is not about the app..

Stay far away from this app!
The translations they offer are terrible and trying to communicate with their customer support team is like talking to a wall.
They simply do not care in the slightest about your problems with the app as long as you pay them money. I have used this app for almost three years and therefore I have a lot of experience with their customer support.
Seriously save yourself the headache and the money and do not give these developers a single cent, for they do not deserve it.
