Trustpilot reviews are valuable for my business, but don't get sucked in, unless you're willing to pay $200+ per month (paid 12 months upfront) just to be able to have YOUR reviews from YOUR customers showing on YOUR website. Trustpilot is a trusted source of reviews and they've helped my business, but they've shut down third party apps from showing YOUR customer reviews on YOUR site. It's easy to collect reviews with Trustpilot but I'd recommend Google reviews so you can show them on your site as you need. For a business that generates social proof, they really should deal better with their customers.

Trustpilot is a free to use platform. Anyone can use Trustpilot for free, as a business or consumers. While we do offer paid packages for businesses to have access to some of our tools, like analytic functions, Trustpilot is also free to use for all businesses with all its main functions.

As long as you have a Trustpilot Business account you can showcase customer reviews through our pre approved widgets. You can find these in your business account by logging in at https://uk.business.trustpilot.com.
It's true that it's against our guidelines to display Trustpilot reviews on your website through outside widgets (including "homemade" or third-party). This policy is in place to ensure that businesses don't "cherry-pick" only the best reviews or mis-represent their star rating. This allows us to protect the integrity of Trustpilot stars so that consumers can trust they're always seeing an accurate representation of a business when they see Trustpilot reviews.

Absolutely horrible. Avoid at all costs. App is faulty and trustpilot is an absolute joke, overpriced with horrible support .

Extremely overpriced for a simple review service. Everything is locked behind a pay-wall. App is not working properly either. Only good thing about the free-version is that it invites customers to write a review, however this amount is also capped. Expected more from the creators of Trustpilot.

Trustpilot App will slow your site down and wreck your SEO. on top of that Trustpilot is the worst company to deal with and is home to fake reviews and rubbish support. mixed in with the fraudulent way they charge fees and up your prices each year. It's a damaging and harmful addition to your business and i suggest people look for an alternative.

We're currently working hard to improve our support functions making it a better experience for both businesses and consumers. As well as our support functions, we're making changes and improvements regularly to our products such as APIs (or apps as you've referenced) these updates are made to improve site speed and SEO amongst other things. We use considerable resources to protect our platform from misuse, including a combination of fake detection technology, review monitoring algorithms and robots and over 50 highly trained experts. Our systems work extremely well but are not foolproof - our work to uphold the integrity of our platform goes on permanently. We are constantly looking at new preventative measures, including the use of additional penalties and actions, that will be used against anyone that tries to manipulate reviews. I used this app for 12 months, we signed a subscription that cost 330 euros a month, the conversion rate from trust pilot was less than 1%, in our service we had account manager that didn't give us enough support to get it better. now they are trying to force us in another 12 months contract because we didn't give 30 days notice period canceling it stay away!

Similar to other people... Username + pass word don't go together but can log in directly. Also tried to sign up for the new app and didn't work

Recently had customer support call me and they were more interested in selling their services than actually fixing the issue with the app. I cant even view my reviews when I add the widget to my website yet they want me to pay for their service. Please fix basic issues first before asking for money.

Apparently someone works there - reached out through Facebook - and was informed that waittime for support is 2 1/2 week.
In serious doubt if I should buy a subscription for the flex.

Initial thoughts
I have had good experience with the free version - but would love to have the paid version. But for a new started business the different price categories are way to expensive - so I will not upgrade at current price levels.
Support
Have tried to get in contact with support for 3 days - now I have asked Shopify to help me to get in contact with Trustpilot. They do not have a Chat hotline - pretty strange. But the sales department is super fast when asking relating to upgrade...
To keep it simple, the app stopped working and refused to integrate. Even when it was supposed to be working it didn't ask customers for reviews. Trustpilot need to take it down and fix it from the bottom up.
I'm just simply trying to upgrade our plan from free to standard. Had a call with a sales person. After that nothing. I've contacted them multiple times, sometimes i got a responds that the message would be forwarded to the right person. Now we are 3 months later and still nothing. Besides that their widget loads slow and is also not easy to drag and drop in the theme.
