I tested a bunch of virtual try-on apps and most of them couldn’t handle my bikini styles. Between content restrictions and how open the garments are, the results were either blocked, distorted, or just looked awkward.

TryPoint was the exception. It handled even the challenging pieces and the output looked natural, not “AI-ish.” Even when customers upload a regular, casual photo, the try-on still comes out clean and believable, and the garment details stay accurate. That’s what impressed me most: it doesn’t ruin the product, and it doesn’t make the try-on experience look cringe.

TryPoint is the first one I’ve seen that feels genuinely usable for real commerce.

I’ve tried basically every virtual try-on app on the Shopify App Store, and TryPoint is the most accurate by far. The output looks the best out of every example I tested. The fit and drape feel more believable, the visuals are cleaner, and the results look premium instead of “AI-ish.”

I asked the team straight up: “Why is it so accurate? How are you achieving this?” It turns out they’re participants in the Google for Startups program, with access to the most up-to-date Google virtual try-on models. They’re using a specialized model and collaborating closely with Google to make it work as well as possible. The results are consistently sharp and polished.

For a swimwear wholesaler brand, realism matters. With TryPoint, the images came out far beyond expectations and genuinely miles ahead of anything else I found on the App Store.

TryPoint is the first virtual try-on experience I’ve tested that feels like it’s moving in the right direction fast. What sold me was the speed of execution and how responsive the team is to real merchant feedback.

I asked for back view try-on because, for apparel, front-only is not enough. They shipped the back virtual try-on in 2 days, and they’re using the latest Google virtual try-on AI model (it was released just days ago and it’s already integrated). That kind of shipping cadence is rare.

I also appreciate that the team actually thinks about the full conversion journey, not just the “cool AI demo.” They’ve been open to ideas like improving the customer-facing flow, making results more shareable, and building better ways to operationalize VTO outcomes. It feels like a product that’s being built with merchants, not just for merchants.

If you want try-on that’s improving quickly, with a founder-led team that listens and ships, this is a strong choice.
