Great app, easy to use and has some nice features and customisation options. The support is fantastic - very responsive and went above and beyond to assist.
This is the best Shopify Upsell App in the market today in my opinion, and I have tested quite a few.
Super easy set up, great options for showing upsells, and more importantly - amazing support.
I really hope they can continue providing such high level and attentive customer support as this is key for a successful app today.
App does exactly as describes and great customer support!
app freezes and does not apply changes. Request for assistance went unanswered. Changes implemented remain in draft and "changes may take 5 minutes" but they never actually apply on the pages.
Loads wayyyy too slow! takes 5-10 seconds before it shows in theme. The 2nd issue is that they have to click add to cart twice once for the upsell and then once for the actual product after the page reloads. I am trying to make it as easy as possible for a customer to checkout/ buy an upsell not more confusing.
Easy to assign the same add-ons to multiple products. Difficult to configure with ajax pricing for us at least. Overall it looks and functions good.
The app sounded too good to be true and it is.
You cant even setup an upselll without paying $50 if you need help....nice they upselling you their upsell app. ffs
The tutorials are old and not relevant to their updates and their updates make no sense. I've created many shopify stores, and used multiple apps. This by far is the worst up sell app.
Uninstalling and hopefully none of their code is left behind to slow the website down

About the tutorials, could you tell us which one you are referring to? We updated the tutorials inside the admin section of the Ultimate Upsell app, as well as Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGYOZMSnTXxWJNnUCW2c-mqEKUNL6t9FR) and we are also trying to update the other ones we have access to. If you send us the URL of the tutorials you found, we'll update them.
About your concern with snippet of code leftovers, don't worry our app doesn't add anything in your theme files.
This app was recommended by a friend and I'm very impressed with all the tools available, the well thought admin page and the stellar support. As a new app there are a few things to fix here and there, but the support community via Slack is awesome and very prompt to tackle these issues.
I've only been testing the app for a day but will come back with an update when the trial week is about to expire. Right now it definitely looks like a keeper.

I wanted to offer customers the ability to have their pieces packaged in a special box (an upsell) and this was the perfect solution. The support was superb and very responsive and they were able to help execute the exact experience I was hoping for.
Great app. Gives you the ability to have upsells pretty much anywhere on your site, either in the page, or in a popup or notification. With some basic CSS you can then style it however you want. Add in the ability to have up and downsell funnels and this is definitely the best value upsell app I've used.

Last reply we sent was suggesting you to let us build the setup of your upsell(s), but we didn't get an answer to it.In this email, we were asking more details to be able to build at least one upsell for you (items, locations, etc). I see now that the app is uninstalled, do you still want us to give it a shot and try to set up 1 upsell for you?
We also said " When I add this app my recharge cart does not work. When I take it away it does work.", did you enable the Recharge app in our app's Settings > Upselling subscription ?

Way to complicated - I had no idea what to do and couldn't figure anything out - bad for non-tech savvy people!

I started using this app in 2018, it seemed to work good at the time and my up sales were selling but then in 2019 after running several adds with no sales or even add to carts from my up sales I checked into it further and the app has not been working for quite some time. I uninstalled the app and now still being charged for the app service. Not happy...I removed the app and do not wish to use any more, it was not working prior to the last 2 add campaigns, the products used were available, it used to work at checkout last year, I made no changes, I tested it several times and after still not working I uninstalled. I am not going to reinstall to have it checked again. I just do not want to be charged any more for an app that is not working.
Thanks for the feedback. Did you try to contact us previously for us to have a look at the issue? There might be many reasons, like maybe the upsold products were out of stock, that's one of many possible causes. If you still want us to have a look, please accept our login request.
About the app charge, it happened because our app's billing cycle is different than your Shopify subscription billing cycle, meaning the app makes a charge and then a few days (or weeks) later, you pay your Shopify subscription and you're charged the app fees at the same time. We can process a refund if you wish to, up to the last 30 days (that's what Shopify's App Credits API allows us to do). Otherwise, you can open a refund request via Shopify Billing.

Currently using this app for up sells on the cart drawer for my best sellers. Derek has been very helpful in making manual adjustments for me so the app works as intended and I've already seen results. This app is the go to app for up sells especially if you drop ship using oberlo like me, other up sell apps can potentially lose the up sell item within the order when its sent to oberlo which can cause all kinds of problems for you and your customer. This is the only up sell app that doesn't have that issue. Looks clean and professional, I recommend this app above all others!
Could have more upsell/downsell features... and an after sale upsell/downsell feature would be nice..
It has got me a lot of additional upsell sales though, so I like it.
I have since moved on to a more flexible app, but I have a lifetime license for ultimate upsell so I'm sure ill be using it more in the future.
Why is the Upsell on the thank you page not working. I did a test purchase just to test this. :(
The app does not work. The upsells are not showing up and a javascript error is seen in chrome console.
Error parsing a meta element's content: ';' is not a valid key-value pair separator. Please use ',' instead.
It could be a very good app, as the settings are pretty simple to edit.
But it's finally a mess... No automatic recommendation,
And once we create an "A la carte" Upsell, if you select integration into your shop... Be pretty sure it's not gonna work.
Spent hours on it, every single time I created a la carte upsell, with theme integration.
When surfing on the page, once the upsell have been loaded (around 5-10sec!)
It is impossible for a customer to change the pictures of the main item page, nor to switch colors or even to add to cart the main item....
So once their app is loaded into your item page, be sure, that your viewers won't be able to add to cart your main item page... they can only add the upsell items... Which as no sense.
(The issue is On Mobile only, but my store as 90% mobile customers).
So I will uninstall the app ASAP.
Very disappointed with this AP and service. It is not intuitive for use though I finally figured it out. Very limited. It does do what it says but barely. In my opinion it is only good to add a product at same price you normally sell to another product. does that ok. If the add on product you want to discount you need separate SKU product at lower price. It would only work on my Google chrome browser. I sent in request for support over weekend and didn't hear anything till Monday. No follow up until I put up this review. The tutorial is very weak. If you are a small shop I do not recommend. If you are a large shop look for a better up-sell Ap. This is the first AP i've ever written a low rating on. They say they plan to improve on it. Hopefully they will there is a need for an inexpensive upsell that is simple to use.
Tried using pop-up Upsell. Worked great on desktop computer but on mobile phone, pop-up box covered the product on screen before the product was reviewed. Wanted pup-up box in check-out screen only. App could not do check-out pop-up only.

I have spent a lot of time searching for the best upsell app and I have tried more than 5 similar apps but none of them are even close to what Ultimate Upsell in terms of simplicity and functionality. It simply works and it covers almost all the bases of upselling. It truly lives up to its name! Keep up the good work and keep improving the app!
Has potential but still a way to go before it meets my needs. Popup is very slow 5+ secs. No mobile specific design and I could not get it to work on mobile. The product selection interface is difficult to use. Support is good but not sure why I had to sign up to slack to get support. price is cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.
Had a problem with the app that the upsells didn't show up.

This app is great. The fact that this works so well with no coding is fantastic. I tried a competitor and spent over an hour trying to change theme file code. Couple this with the great support and this is a must have app.
