app freezes and does not apply changes. Request for assistance went unanswered. Changes implemented remain in draft and "changes may take 5 minutes" but they never actually apply on the pages.
Loads wayyyy too slow! takes 5-10 seconds before it shows in theme. The 2nd issue is that they have to click add to cart twice once for the upsell and then once for the actual product after the page reloads. I am trying to make it as easy as possible for a customer to checkout/ buy an upsell not more confusing.
Easy to assign the same add-ons to multiple products. Difficult to configure with ajax pricing for us at least. Overall it looks and functions good.
Why is the Upsell on the thank you page not working. I did a test purchase just to test this. :(
It could be a very good app, as the settings are pretty simple to edit.
But it's finally a mess... No automatic recommendation,
And once we create an "A la carte" Upsell, if you select integration into your shop... Be pretty sure it's not gonna work.
Spent hours on it, every single time I created a la carte upsell, with theme integration.
When surfing on the page, once the upsell have been loaded (around 5-10sec!)
It is impossible for a customer to change the pictures of the main item page, nor to switch colors or even to add to cart the main item....
So once their app is loaded into your item page, be sure, that your viewers won't be able to add to cart your main item page... they can only add the upsell items... Which as no sense.
(The issue is On Mobile only, but my store as 90% mobile customers).
So I will uninstall the app ASAP.
Very disappointed with this AP and service. It is not intuitive for use though I finally figured it out. Very limited. It does do what it says but barely. In my opinion it is only good to add a product at same price you normally sell to another product. does that ok. If the add on product you want to discount you need separate SKU product at lower price. It would only work on my Google chrome browser. I sent in request for support over weekend and didn't hear anything till Monday. No follow up until I put up this review. The tutorial is very weak. If you are a small shop I do not recommend. If you are a large shop look for a better up-sell Ap. This is the first AP i've ever written a low rating on. They say they plan to improve on it. Hopefully they will there is a need for an inexpensive upsell that is simple to use.
The app sounded too good to be true and it is.
You cant even setup an upselll without paying $50 if you need help....nice they upselling you their upsell app. ffs
The tutorials are old and not relevant to their updates and their updates make no sense. I've created many shopify stores, and used multiple apps. This by far is the worst up sell app.
Uninstalling and hopefully none of their code is left behind to slow the website down

About the tutorials, could you tell us which one you are referring to? We updated the tutorials inside the admin section of the Ultimate Upsell app, as well as Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGYOZMSnTXxWJNnUCW2c-mqEKUNL6t9FR) and we are also trying to update the other ones we have access to. If you send us the URL of the tutorials you found, we'll update them.
About your concern with snippet of code leftovers, don't worry our app doesn't add anything in your theme files.
Méchante bonne application, le propriétaire a été très gentil et a installé l'app après que nous ayons éprouvé des difficultés. Depuis l'installation, on a déjà obtenu 30 upsells (subscription boxes) en 2 jours! J'aime ça en TABARNAPP!
Way to complicated - I had no idea what to do and couldn't figure anything out - bad for non-tech savvy people!
Thanks for the feedback. Can you tell us what was complicated and what you tried to achieve? We can always help. Also, did you see the red dots in the admin screens of our app? They should guide you with some video tutorials.
I wanted to offer customers the ability to have their pieces packaged in a special box (an upsell) and this was the perfect solution. The support was superb and very responsive and they were able to help execute the exact experience I was hoping for.
