I’m facing an issue where the variant price is not being added to the cart page. The selected product option shows the correct price, but when added to the cart, the price doesn’t update or display properly. Please fix this issue so the variant price reflects correctly on the cart page.

Hi Leung, unfortunately this was an issue with China's firewall blocking our app in your region. We followed up with an email to get more information from you but we never heard back.

I had a fully paid subscription plan valid until 2026. Since we won't be selling anymore after 2026, I decided to cancel the subscription to prevent automatic renewal. However, after doing this, all app features were disabled. I've tried contacting support, but there's no available communication channel. I need the features of the already-paid plan to be restored or a refund issued.
I’m really sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused. Shopify manages all billing and subscription changes automatically, so when a subscription is canceled, they also remove access to the paid features.
I’ve actually reached out by email a few times but didn’t hear back. Please reply directly to an email, and we’ll make sure everything is taken care of for you, whether that’s restoring access or finding another solution that works best for you.

This app charged me even though I am on the free plan!
Hi Kelsey. I emailed you back and confirmed you signed up for the Basic Plan and had the app installed longer than the 14 day trial period. All billing is handled automatically through Shopify.
I already emailed you back and sent you a refund for the charges.
Since everything is resolved please update your review. We are just a small 2 person business located in the US doing our best to build the best apps and give the best customer service.

BEWARE!!! I installed and then later uninstalled this app, and the uninstall does not delete all of the installation and it destroyed my ability to offer products with variants without the app installed. I have contacted this company at least 3 times 3 different ways telling them it is an emergency as my customers cannot check out and they have done nothing. I had to reinstall it so my site will work for the time being. This is terrible.
Hi Jessica, We’re very sorry for the frustration this caused. Our app does not intentionally break Shopify variants, and uninstalling it should not affect checkout functionality. In this case, the issue was resolved by publishing a fresh theme, and we have already reached out to investigate what caused the conflict so we can prevent it in the future but we haven't heard back.
We’re a small U.S.-based team, and while there was a short delay due to time zone differences, we are actively responding and happy to help. Please reply to our email or share your collaborator code so we can fully review what happened.

I was using this app for 2 swatch colour products because Shopify has a quantity limit. I was unaware that the starter plan had changed to 1 product, removing the swatch colour option from one of my best sellers until a customer placed an order and I had to email asking for their preference. I have had to find another app, set up and start again from scratch. I was informed of the changes prior to this but I'm not paying nearly £10 just for a second option, I couldn't even open my 2nd option to copy the colour swatches until I upgraded. I don't usually leave reviews and long ones, but hope this helps someone before I uninstall.

I'm really sorry for the frustration our app caused, especially with one of your best-selling products. Martin and I built Variant Option Product Options to help other businesses no hurt them.
Just to clarify, our Starter plan has always included just one product with options since it launched over a year ago. We understand it’s easy to miss that and you didn’t realize the limitations. That’s on us to communicate more clearly within the app itself, and I have spoken with my partner on creating a message in the app.

Free plan is useless. No way to add pricing
For some Reason when i enabled this app on my product page, it changed all the Pictures that were previosly in the Photo section AND even changed review pictures to variant pictures which is outragues!!! do they not check what happens when someone casually installs that plugin, damn crazy

After years of having this app at 9.99 I noticed my add ons not working. I was then told I needed to upgrade! Like what??
You are thieves - no prior notification. I chose a plan and get told I need to upgrade when nothing has changed from my side?

Hi Cheryl, I'm sorry there was a little confusion on what plan you had to be on for price add-ons to work. We try our best to clearly communicate that price add-ons are only available on the Advanced Plan. From day one we have had this information clearly stated on the app listing and plans page in our app.
I also see you emailed us 3 years ago that price add-ons weren't working. We replied stating you needed to be on the Advanced Plan for price add-ons to work. After that, I see you were on the Advanced Plan for 2 years. Several months ago you downgraded the app again and sent an email about the same issue. We replied again stating the price add-ons are only available in the Advanced Plan.
We are just a two-person company trying to make the best apps possible with the best customer service.
If you think there is another place where we could have this information please email me back and let me know.
Use Variant Option Product Options by Best instead!
This app, by Relentless Apps, was the first one to do Image Swatches that I came across when I was first opening my shop, and I wish I never had added it. When I first got it, it was free, and I could use the Image Swatches for free as well, but eventually they decided to bump up their price to take advantage of fools like me who didn't have time to search for another app.
The interface is infuriating and difficult to use, it's very counter-intuitive, has almost no visuals at all, at least, it didn't up until the moment I uninstalled it on March 28, 2022. You have to scroll through huge columns of text, you cannot search for your items by collection or tag, the only way to do anything in the app is to know the exact names of your items. The "Duplicate" option is phrased in a confusing way, so you can't tell if you're selecting the item you wish to copy or the item you wish to copy TO, it doesn't always work, and you can barely tell if it's done anything or not. You have to search for the item AGAIN, by its full title, to then click on it, and see if the change was made.
I was able to accept all of these flaws because it was free. But for the last many months, without my really knowing, this app was costing me nearly $10 a month! Horrifying!
The other odd thing I noticed was the name would change every now and then, which I found strange, but didn't think anything of it. Now that I see it has the same name as another app, which has all of the same features FOR FREE, and guaranteed to always be free. My guess is that they changed the name, probably multiple times, to try to match this other app, to trick more hapless fools like me into getting it, and then charging them nearly $10 a month for an app that barely functions. tldr: Get the app by Best of the same name. You won't be disappointed.
It doesn't sound like you are talking about our app. We have only ever offered a free version for development stores. When you installed the app you selected a subscription plan and accepted the monthly charges. For the Basic Plan, it is $8.99. We have kept our prices the same since we built the app in 2017.
The free app you are talking about actually copied our app and functionality. The reason why it is free is they try to funnel you into their paid app that offers price add-ons and more features. They also copied our app name and the colors of our logo. It is a shame that Shopify lets companies completely copy your app but there is nothing we can do about it at the moment.
For searching for the product you can easily find the product by searching the title or you can find your product in Shopify and then click our app from there to edit the product.
You can also use our global options to add color swatches, image swatches, or buttons to all of your products.
I am sorry the app didn't fit your needs. We are always working on improving our app and making it better for everyone.
