There were some setup issues. Although tech support answers in a day, it is not so fast and especially for a live site. I got conflicting answers on how to do things from 2 different people there, which may have caused a conflict in the way that things work. The biggest problem in the end is that the site was displaying 2 sets of pictures for every variant: 1 from Shopify and 1 from Swatch King. The one from Shopify is not functional, so it was suggested to turn that one off which we did. After turning off Shopify's, we realized that our products that don't have variants were no longer showing visitors the alternate images of products stopped showing as well. They knew that this would happen without warning us. So we needed to decide what to do. The funny thing is that Swatch King said "We have another product that can solve that for you". Come on guys....you are making a Swatch for Shopify stores to be functional. All this functionality should be in one place and not upcharge us for each thing that should have been covered in the first place.
The app has been performing well on our store, no real hiccups, but for questions and queries, the timeline for waiting for a response has been frustrating.
Recently support has been taking a long time to respond. For example, I sent multiple messages to support on 16th June, and now it's 19th June, and am still waiting for a response.
I hope this improves. Otherwise, it's an awesome app. But being let down by slow service at the moment.
We like what we can do with the app. We have been using it for more than a year.
However our experience with the support team has been quite dismal.
Sometimes there are little glitches in the app performance, and while it should be obvious to the app developers, one has to try really hard to make them understand. For instance, in our case, the swatches group title was showing (like an orphan) on product page even when all swatches were hidden due to the them being sold out. Why should there be a group title when there are no swatches underneath it? Obvious glitch. We asked them to fix it. They simply disabled all swatches from all product pages!! On other occasions also we faced difficulty receiving simple solutions. We dont have issues with what the app can or cannot do. It is simply an issue of a very amateur support team.
Support is not efficient, they almost never respond, you have to wait 3 to 5 days for an asnswer sometimes. Apps works almost well, it displays very slow in the collections. Update 10/06: I have started conveersationes 1 and 2 weeks ago and they havent answer yet.
Update: I've adjusted my review from 5 to 3 star because I've had two open issues/errors with Star Apps and this specific app for the past +2 months. I have tried reaching out to Star Apps 3-4 times on e-mail to get an update. No response and no progress on the issues. It's quite disappointing since this is something affecting my customers' user experience. Original review; I have been looking for something like this app for sooo long. It does exactly what I need (show variants in a nice way AND even connects similar product so they show up like variants). The only negative thing I have to say is that I WISH I HAD FOUND IT SOONER. I'm sure I lost a lot of customers because of not having this app. Better late than never. THANKS to the dev. team for their superb support, kindness, and for developing this APP at a reasonable cost.
App is pretty good but the customer service is way too slow. Keep in mind if you need assistance quickly.
