We’ve been using VideoPoint in our business now for a couple of months, having previously used an alternative ‘major’ provider who positioned themselves as the standard for a shoppable video app.

After contacting practically all companies on the Shopify App Store we decided to make the jump to VideoPoint as other providers couldn’t provide the features we needed, they didn’t listen to feedback and they didn’t take the time to understand our business.

From the get-go Kostas and team were eager to hear about our business, our goals and roadmap. Kostas took the time to visit our site, understand our vision and suggested how we could utilise the best of VideoPoint’s features to help our business.

The onboarding and implementation of VideoPoint was tailored to our business and was made seamless by constant check in’s and extremely responsive communication. The VideoPoint dashboard is user friendly and easy to manage large volumes of product tagging.

We’ve integrated VideoPoint video pages as a core functionality of our store. The UI is sleek and works smoothly. We upload hundreds of products per week which are tagged on VideoPoint and this has had no impact on our site speed. To date, we haven’t experienced any outages or major bugs and VideoPoint widgets have performed smoothly even when site traffic was high. We’d previously experienced issues with our old provider where the video feed was buggy and couldn’t handle high traffic - so much so that customers even fed this back to us directly. It seems all these problems don’t exist with VideoPoint.

VideoPoint’s pricing is competitive with other providers but where they stand out is in the metric they use to measure usage. Other providers use impressions which often led to us having higher usage comparative (and subsequently we incurred surcharge fees) whereas VideoPoint have opted for video views as their metric. It’s also great that there isn’t a watermark on any of their paid plans (something our previous provider only offered on their highest tiered plan).

As a result of using VideoPoint we’ve experienced a huge boost to conversion rates. Customer feedback has been fantastic and it's helped us grow our brand rapidly as it's a USP to our industry/market. Kostas and team have listened to our feedback and are helping us develop customised features so we can better serve our customer base.
