Horrible Support. I don't know how a paid app can't have a chat feature. This is an absolute Joke. It has been over 2 weeks since i am using this PAID app and things still hasn't been solved. Now i face another issue with my feed translation. This is seriously the app which gives me the most headaches out of all apps i am using

I've analyzed further the conversation you've just had with our Support team and it seems that the undesired behavior you've experienced are due to an unfinished configuration of the subdomains.
I'd be really glad to help you further integrate the subdomain-based integration into your website if you're willing to give us another chance.
Note that Weglot also proposes a beta subdirectory-based integration that allows you to display the translations on URLs such as https://haltungshelfer.de/nl/ for instance for a Dutch translation. Do you want to give it a chance?

applications extrêmement mauvaise !!! a fuir !!!!! impossible que de grosse société puisse l'utilisé ! google traduction est bien meilleures !!! j'ai téléchargé l'applications j'ai payé un plans business mais l'application ne traduit pas tout le contenu de mon site ! j'ai fait une promotion instagram les client sont arriver sur un site a moitié traduit et pour moi impossible d'avoir une personne du suport client ou de pouvoir traduire manuellement un conseil a fuir !!! garder votre argent c'est mieux pour vous !!! plus le temp avance moins de chose sont traduite sur mon site aplications vraiment merdique ! je vais me tourner vers une autres applications ou une entreprise de traduction professionnel
They offered me a demo call to begin with and on the demo call i had some tecnical questions they coulnt answer. The lady said she is happy to schedule another call if i needed one. Once they signed me up to the trial they have not responded to my request for another call so i decided i want to remove their app
I used this app to help me translate my content and it ended up costing me losing clients and money, lot of money, its the worst app ever, the IDE is not working properly, it changed the landing page for every user, the editing is not east to get to, nothing worked I just lost money and time for this app, and the worst thing is that i paid for it, next time I should read reviews before I purchase anything. I dont know why this is the first app on here.
20 bucks a month for that is pure scam. The app is full of bugs, it changes things you already corrected, the glossary isn't working properly. I've spent a lot of time of my translation due to this bad app and I'm not even done. And, there are also some pages that are only partly translated. This is such a useless mess!

As a reputable company with over 50k users, we place zero interest in trying to scam any of our users. We would be happy to help you out as I see you had not reached out to support concerning any of your issues. To date, we do not have any bugs present, Weglot does not change things you have corrected so I would be happy to explain how it works.
We do have to mention that writing us messages like: "tell the sales b*** that wrote me on Facebook about my review that she'd better go to hell!" is not constructive at all for us to help you. We just want other users to see that although we wished to help you, you continued to insult us.

I am really disappointted, the application Weglot made a big mess in my template !! I remove it but still appear on my website, and the mess is less but still there.
This app doesn't auto open as they promote .waisting money and time .
for over a mount we flip-flop emails with customer service with no help - just link to self help .
Did not translate correctly, had to translate myself. The price is way to hight for the service provided

Honestly the worst Shopify app I've ever used. It makes your store very slow and it has so many issues. The translations are very off, they don't offer check out translation so there is really even no point, very frustrating to use

About the performance =>
Note that the load time can be longer the first time Weglot translates the content.
Indeed, Weglot translation mechanism is working like this:
It scans the original content of your website (HTML file)
After the scan, Weglot parses (read and cut) the elements between HTML tags.
It automatically translates this original content to its translated equivalent.
During the translation process, Weglot is also storing these contents in your Translation List available in your Weglot Dashboard
On the second visit to the page, the time load should be way better.
About the translation =>
We try to provide the best automatic translation possible. However, we know this is really hard to fit this translation to all our user's contexts, so that's why we provide you with different options to review those translations:
- To Manually edit the automatic translations if you want to. We provide you with some useful tools in order to do that

About the checkout translation =>
For your information, I could help you translate your checkout.
Indeed, be aware that checkout pages won't be detected by Weglot as they belong to another domain.
These pages are hosted by Shopify itself, translations are directly handled on its side, as translations are actually coming from the theme.
That's why the language switcher isn't visible on the checkout pages.
Weglot, by its side, allows displaying the checkout in the right language for the visitor, regarding the language used on the page before the checkout, thanks to a mechanism we manage.
Weglot just allows the checkout to be displayed in the theme language related to the language used on the page before the checkout. It means that the translation isn't managed by Weglot, but Weglot just calls the theme in another language.
You should be able to edit a checkout element translation, going:
- Go to Shopify admin > Languages > Replace the language of the theme to the destination language (the language related to the translation you want to edit)
- Into your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes > Edit Languages > "Checkout & System" tab
- Edit the content you want to replace in the translated version
- ⚠️ Into your Shopify admin > Languages, change back the default language to the default one.
