Nice App and Concept, Design looks very good, but it messes up the variants. Also doesn't work with more than 5 Variants because "exceeding 100 Variant limit from Shopify". After deleting the App it messed up my variants big time and I had to re-import the product. Answer to your reply:
Make the alert messages in the onboarding process Bigger, Bold and Red. I mostly skip through them and guess a lot of others do as well Cheers

Well, it doesn't really mess up the variants. We use the variants as a system for the discounts (During the onboarding process, we display many messages about that)

And it's true, based on that variants system (which was the only way to do exactly what we wanted) we face a problem: Shopify doesn't allow us to create more than 100 variants :'(

That's why we ask the users (again, during the onboarding) first to duplicate their product if they want to try it first.

But I understand that it can be frustrating if you don't know it.

Anyway, thank you for your review!

How do you think we should improve this part? Adding more messages? I'm open to suggestions!

Horrible. It is not calibrated to work with digital products, and they should explicitly say so on the app page. I was offering a free digital product; no matter what I tried, it always wanted to charge shipping and tax. I tried to disable the app, but the bundles WOULD NOT GO AWAY. I deleted the app, and to my horror, the bundle offers were still there! I had to nuke my entire product page to eliminate it and build a new one from scratch. This app is coded horribly! Downloader beware!

Sorry for the experience you've had!

WideBundle does work with digital products or any product. It's in the shipping rates that it can be updated.

WideBundle needs to create new variants, so that's why you said the "bundle offers were still there". But you can recover your old variants directly from WideBundle when you remove the bundle you created.

Did you contact our support? Or did you check our Helpdesk?

The things you mentioned are explained in our Helpdesk articles, and our support could easily help you fix these problems for you.

Edit: Developer is very friendly, quickly reached out to me in order to help. Seems like rotating of buttons was a bug. Also he did all he could to enable integration into product page without overriding title etc. Thanks for the effort! Original: Worst app ever: Every button rotates as hover effect. Never experienced such a poor UX. I guess most of the reviews must be fake. Also by default the app doesn't embed into my product template, but simply overrides the upper part of the template (title, price...). Please remove the rotating buttons and allow for a better integration – then it makes sense.

What do you mean by rotating effect? The buttons only have a little shaking effect

Same thing, the app shouldn't replace your title etc

The app is very nice and works well if you have not very many products. Setting up bundles is quite easy to do, but everything needs to be done manually per item. That makes the app not usable if you have more than a handful of products.
The frontend part with the various selection options is very well done.

Great support!!! But when the app is installed, when the page reloads, you always see the old state. This is not very smart.

Then, there is a simple action you can do to recover the old variants, when you remove the offers from WideBundle it asks you if you want to put back your old variants

Worst app ever! It destroyed all my variants and now I'm scrambling trying to re-create the product listing, putting the new url for my ads... all because i tried this app for 30 seconds to see how it looked! Do not download this, it will destroy your listings!

Hey

We are sorry to hear this

As explained on the app, WideBundle will create new variants on your product in order to add the bundle

When you setup WideBundle, we add many warnings about it and we also recommend people to duplicate their product first if they only want to try the app

So it doesn't destroy your listing as you said, it just replace your current variants with new one to make the app works

We do not change the url of your product, etc...

Did you try to contact the support?

BEWARE. The first thing the app asks you to do is try out adding deals to a product with no other information. I chose my top product with 18 variants and played with adding a bundle deal. The app then DELETED all my variants and replaced them with 3 unusable options. Not only do I have to rebuild the product, it has screwed up all my custom code and tagged social media posts since they linked to my variant URLS. Completely insane.

I'm sorry for what you experienced and I totally understand how you feel

I was a merchant and already deleted my variants (not on purpose) 😓

As Ogi said, we have many warnings in the app when you create the offers, we even ask you to duplicate your product first to make it work

But I understand that you probably didn't see it.. 😕 And I'm sorry for that

WideBundle has to create new variants to make the bundles work because we don't use discount codes (this allows you to give codes to your customers even if they bought a bundle)

But I just wanted to know, have you been able to add your variants back?

Only use for specific bundle kind ! Not possible or hardly to combine several products. + if you use Dsers the way the app is set, it forced you to also create bundle on dsers (which is a paid feature). It is definitely not what I have in mind for a simple but yet efficient bundle app. Mostly at this price. I don't recommend excepte maybe for a specific use as shown in the photo otherwise you won't be able to personalize it
