The app is OK - a few bugs here and then, can't complain too much when it was free. The new pricing is ridiculous - more than we pay for either Shopify or Xero - we'll be uninstalling unless this changes.
Useless, this app only imports certain orders, spoke with support over a number of days only to be told that they know it doesn't work, they don't know why, can't offer a work around or give us any idea on how this can be managed. No idea which invoices will be imported and which will be left behind. They also say they can not give me a time frame on when the bug will be fixed. Currently looking for alternatives. Avoid.
Outrageous how much they now want to charge their users for this app, which is bug ridden and rarely works anyway. These fees are shocking considering we already pay Shopify fees plus our subscription to Xero. We'll be deleting this App, and all Bold apps ASAP, even if it means doing more work manually.
If I'm paying for Xero, I expect it to automatically pull transactions from multiple sources without the need to pay another company for the integration. Bad move by Xero and Bold. I might have to find another accounting solution.
The fee they want to charge is shocking. I already pay Xero for my accounting. To then pay an app to transfer the info to Xero on top of the fees I already pay is a joke. I'll be deleting this app pretty much immediately. This is a cash grab if I ever saw one.
Support has been helpful however the app has not been properly mapping the Shopify SKU to the Xero inventory item.
This has caused significant trouble with inventory reports in Xero and is not a problem easily solved in Xero. Each transaction has to be manually corrected.
The app has also been posting discounts to the "rounding" account in Xero.
What is nice about the app is that each sale has a direct link to the order in Shopify and applies payment to the invoice.
I really wish this app worked better as we've invested many hours into making this work.
Update: I have been working with BOLD support for MONTHS and the issues with the product codes persists and have even been made worse.
And now the shipping discounts are posted to "rounding" in Xero. Which I have also brought to their attention, with no fix in sight.
What a terrible app! Cannot believe this is the only option we have to sync orders with Xero. Appalling!!!
It only works half the time, it consistently has errors and issues. This should be a free app. Period!!!
First of all, way to expensive especially since it doesn’t work right. We have been in contact with their support for about a month now because we are getting errors with our tax code when importing. They said their engineers are working on a fix. It’s pathetic, I hope someone will add an alternative app to import sales to our accounting software. This one star is for Shopify too on allowing such a horrible company rip people off. Stop gouging every last cent out of everyone. We are paying a huge monthly fee to you anyways.
Horror. Used to work great, but does not work at all anymore. Xero is an essential integration and MUST work on Shopify Plus plans. Bold Dev's have no clue what they are talking about. Their responses are useless. Don't even try, just a waste of time. There is an app that works just flawless, but why would I pay additional $30 plus monthly for each and any shop on my plus plan? At least they proof that it is possible to have a working connection with Xero. I do not care who to blame. Shopify is in charge to deliver. But they do not. Shame on you Shopify. Time to consider other options...?
I choose to use Xero because it was meant to work with Shopify, but what I found was that it did not load all of the sales and it was meant to continue to refresh and upload any sales every night at midnight, however it did not do this either. I did not find it easy to work with and for all the hype that I had heard about it, there was no support and only short little uninforming videos that didn't show you anything of use for beginners. If felt like 80% of the videos out there just told you how great the program was, well for me it was the biggest waste of $300 that as a small business I won't ever get back again. There was more than this that I found wrong with working with this program, but I have better things to do than continue this rating, like finding the time to catch up on the last 6 months of accounting.
