Just started using the app and seems very comprehensive - early days for results yet - but time will tell.

Would be much more helpful if all the steps were automatic. Now it takes lots of time to fix everything, and it doesn't guarantee that everything is working right.

Regarding your point about all the steps being automatic, though it is totally understandable, and we do have some parts automated, we'd like to clarify that this is not the best approach for SEO. SEO is more of a marathon rather than a sprint. It works in a dynamic way, so simply automatically filling-in data is not optimization, something that the always-evolving search engine algorithms can identify.
This is where our app comes in and helps you learn SEO, write great content and be technically compliant with search engine requirements and suggestions for your store to be displayed with enhanced "rich" search results. This can lead to improved ranking and increased organic traffic.

TOAST! That's what this app should be called — because that's what it will do to your site — turn it into TOAST. After loading this bug filled destructive app to our site we started getting ERROR messages from Google (which never happened before). This poorly constructed app wrecked our SEO Schema. But wait it gets worse... Look under the hood. The Yoast app fills your site with asset after asset — which will slow your site down. To remove Yoast, you will need to surgically remove multiple assets from your site code to restore your site to a pre-Yoast condition. Avoid this app at all costs if you care about your SEO and/or your website. This app is NOT ready to be released on Shopify. RESPONSE TO THE DEVELOPER'S REPLY BELOW: Thank you for reaching out. Sadly though, this is a case of a company trying to varnish over a flawed product. This app is terrible / from the way it handles meta description editing, to the way it messes up SEO schema, to the glut of code rubbish it injects into the site... This app is simply not a stable or suitable product for Shopify sites. And based on the ratio of low ratings on the Shopify App store, I'm obviously not the only one who feels this way.
Thank you for reaching out and your feedback. We are sorry to read that you are having this experience. In our latest release, we have changed the way theme modifications are being handled after an uninstall as we were aware of these causing problems for some of our customers.
Currently, when uninstalling our app, theme modifications will be disabled. Since not all of the code will be removed, there are instructions on how to clean up after an uninstall (https://yoast.com/help/remove-yoast-code-from-theme-in-shopify/). In this case; since you are still in the trial period, if you install the app you can press the 'deactivate Yoast SEO' found in 'settings' to help to disable the theme modifications for you.

Highly impressed by the performance and results of Yoast SEO Premium for WordPress; we were excited to add Yoast for Shopify too. It works, as we expected, like a charm. Have to commend the Yoast support team, specifically Sid, who was ready at hand with superb advice even over weekends both before and during the installation, guiding us with detailed explanations and screenshots. When we needed a theme code inspection and change, the development team delivered a highly impressive lightning-fast solution on top. All in all, we’re extremely satisfied with Yoast on both platforms. It's easy to use, with a lot of SEO benefits. Delighted with this app, I don't understand the bad reviews. I have been a user of Yoast SEO on WordPress for years and was waiting for it to be on Shopify. Now I can finally optimise the content as I always have, as SEO Yoast tells you in each article, page or product what elements you need to add to improve SEO. It has more options than the free version of WordPress (which was already more than enough for SEO work). As it should. I would like to add that it does not allow you to analyse the SEO of secondary languages, but this is not Yoast SEO's fault. Shopify doesn't have multi-language as well implemented as WordPress. But I was able to translate the homepage meta-data with Langify. Everything else is well translated with Langify. All in all, I'm happy and I still have a lot of optimisation work ahead of me, as the SEO app I had before in Shopify didn't give me (by far) the amount of guidelines that Yoast SEO does. By the way, the technical support is very attentive, and they solved some small doubts I had. They have only been with Shopify for a short time but it's clear that they're keen to keep improving. 5 stars.

The app is good, it solved the problem of dealing with structure data. i want to mention their support team. they have been very patient and professional in giving me instant support and help as I am walked through the installation and setting up of the app. very helpful indeed, much more helpful than i could expect from a shopify plugin.
