Terrible Experience – Avoid Black Crow!
I signed up with Black Crow based on a Yotpo recommendation, expecting a reliable and results-driven service. Unfortunately, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Once they took our money, there was zero follow-up or support. They didn’t bother to check if the system was even working or delivering any value.
Trying to cancel was a nightmare — the process is deliberately difficult and frustrating. It’s clear they care more about locking you in than actually helping your business grow. Very disappointing experience. Save your time and money — look elsewhere.
This transition has not gone as planned—and it has cost us big time. Since switching to Yotpo Email, we’ve lost over $50,000 in email revenue, due to a botched migration that we were told would take 1 month… it’s now dragging into month 3. Yotpo admitted we were right, but only credited us $3,369 out of the full losses—even though we followed all their guidance.
They explicitly told us it was safe to leave Klaviyo. It wasn’t. Our email performance dropped immediately, and fixing it has drained hours of internal time.
To make matters worse, they never disclosed we’d need to pay $2,286 per year for a third-party Zapier app just to keep using Attentive SMS—even though we made it crystal clear from day one that we weren’t switching SMS platforms.
Now they’re saying they’ll “make sure future sales reps don’t forget to disclose this.” That’s not a solution—that’s a warning to everyone reading this.
We’re even considering legal action because the financial and operational damage is ongoing. If you're thinking about leaving Klaviyo, DON’T. I regret this decision every day.
I've been using the application since 2020 (SMS Bump at the time) and now, for no reason at all, the flows of abandoned cart are no longer being sent.
The support is useless.

This app has charged me multiple times for so-called “test” SMS messages that I never triggered myself. There was no warning that these test messages would deduct from my credit balance. Total red flag.
I contacted support three times, and all I got were generic, copy-paste replies with no real solution or refund. They completely ignore the actual issue.
On top of that, my customers received SMS messages in the wrong language, while emails in the same flow worked perfectly. The SMS part is clearly broken or misconfigured, but I got charged anyway, even for messages that were never delivered (status: pending).
This app is not transparent, support is useless, and billing is shady. Until they fix this, I strongly recommend avoiding it.

After reviewing, we found the SMS charges and language settings were due to the flow's configuration, not a technical issue. We’ve since worked together to update the setup to better match your needs.

The app is terrible, I have spent many weeks to setup and raised many tickets to support. After follow all of their guidance, the simple Abandoned Checkout Flow still does not work. dont understand why there are too many good reviews. Customer service agents have no ideas about their app. Poor support, wasting alot of time. After getting all of my customer emails, the app can not do anything.

I wanted to use abandoned checkout emails, so I set everything up, only to later realize that the emails weren’t being sent. I contacted support, and they informed me that my account was not validated—something that was never mentioned anywhere.
When I asked them to validate it, they insisted that I needed to add SMS marketing policies to my store policies, even though I only wanted to use email marketing. I don’t see why this should be required for email-only users. Very frustrating experience.

The app purposely reports fake ROI data to incentivise you to spend more on sent emails. When we contacted them showing fake ROI reports on orders that were included in results despite having nothing to do with sent email campaigns they only said that they could not provide information on how the data is calculated and closed the ticket.
We're reporting them for a gross violation of the Shopify Partner Agreement, and hopefully, we'll see them gone from the Shopify app store soon.
According to our legal, knowingly providing fake ROI reports to manipulate you into increased spending meets a legal definition of fraud, so we will likely take matters further.

I have been using this app for the past two years, the sms campaign part of things Is a complete scam. Recently I’ve noticed that the campaigns aren’t being sent to my customers and the app is overcharging for messages sent. I’ve reached out each time and a ticket is created with no resolution and broken promises. I will be moving to a different app.

I had them for the pass 2 Years and it was great when they set it up for me. But since we moved out store to another shopify account and asked for help transferring over our campaigns we had setup they we no help and never tried to help in fact closed my ticket. I now had to eliminate them from my new shopify account and us my credits I had remaining and sms/email blast everyone and updating customers about our changes. If you ask me I did find a better solution YMS for my sms and will be needing someone new for my reward and loyalty program as I wont be using them for that either.

They offer no help and keep you hanging when it's actually impossible to arrange the installation.
I've been working on this for over a week, installing everything necessary and making changes in my Shopify store, only to be told that SMS Bump is working, even though I see nothing has come in.
I've tested it several times myself, asked several people to test it for me, and received nothing at all.
Even when I tell them all, I keep getting disconnected, either with someone who has nothing to do with it, or with the same person who's supposedly the higher-up (who disconnects themselves) from the service.
I don't know what kind of higher-up is, but I wouldn't wish this problem on anyone else.
They're only interested in good results; they don't really care about anything else.
