Extremely hard to use. I upgraded then down graded to the free plan. So stressed out using. I dont know why it has to be this difficult. and its like you read the instructions but it tell you nothing. Customer service was helpful but the app is too hard to use
Ridiculously overpriced. $400 / month just to be able to integrate with google shopping (regardless of how many orders). I wish i had known this before getting set up with free version. Don't mind paying but the cost is way too much compared to good alternatives. Now need to switch. Wish i had read the reviews prior.

Yotpo is very deceiving. We have numerous shipments we make for sample orders (zero dollar), and numerous wholesale orders to hundreds of national chain outlets, where there is NO email provided for the orders. Yotpo charges you for fulfilled orders, not per emails sent for reviews, thus, you will be overcharged for every order you process. I discussed them charging based on email requests for reviews, and they stated they would implement that, that was 4 months ago. I have given up as I run out of "fulfillment credits", not requested review credits halfway through every month. Buyer beware! We have finally given up on Yotpo in lieu of a better review app that works better with google product reviews and charges based on their performance, not based on your fulfilled orders. If you choose to be charged for your fulfilled orders, even if half of those have no interaction with Yotpo at all, then feel free, otherwise, find another review app that charges you on their actual performance. Its like a marketing company telling you that their bill will be based on your overall sales only and not the effectiveness of their marketing. Its very deceptive.
Probably the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Asking them a simple question means days of emails designed to beat around the bush and up sell you on their extraordinarily high priced plan.
I really wanted to like their product but they are basically a scam at this point. Stay away from these used car salesman.
This company is probably the most annoying company in the Shopify eco-system. I don't know how many times I've had to ask to be removed from their marketing and sales emails before their sales reps will leave me alone. There are several reason I would recommend against YotPo:
1 - Predatory contracts - They promise you the world, lock you into a contract for 12 months, and by the time you realize there are other companies that have the exact same functionality, you're too late and locked in paying 4-5x the cost of the competition.
2 - The worlds most annyoing sales reps. No, I don't want to buy the overpriced software that you sell on yearly contracts.
3 - Insanely overpriced for the same features. I'm not really sure what people are even paying for here that they anyone is still paying this company as much as they are for the same features.
I'd highly recommend looking at Stamped or any of the other services that offer reviews. You'll get the same features (anyone at Yotpo who says its better may be partially right, but you're paying 5x for 1 minor feature that will yield maybe 2% better results at best).
This isn't a paid smear campaign, I just honestly don't know what else to do to get them to block my email from their system as I've asked and even threatened legal action with no results.

A star not for the product, but for 1) the FAQ answers I receive at each request to the after-sales service 2) the fact that at each stage I am asked to pay or upgrade my plan.
Don't go to this app if you don't have $500 to put in per month.

We can't get any support. Been with them for years and they won't resolve the issues we are having. We are going to have to switch away from these guys.
They deserve -10000 stars!!! Their own customer service people don't know what they are doing!!! Klaviyo integration only on annual plan. Who are your scamming???? Scammers!!!! I can't believe shopify allows these scammers to do whatever they want!!!!
I have never left a single review on any of our shopify apps, but with Yotpo, I'm really inclined to do so because of their practices. I would NOT recommend this app to any business owners who truly values their TIME and MONEY! I think this company is very out of touch with small businesses and their lack of transparency is a serious concern. This is the only app we have ever countered that almost forces you to get on a sales call before you can even see their prices. Its not just about their outrageous price, its also about principle. Why would anyone want to do business with a company that does not see the value in transparency in 2016. They are more focused on marketing and selling you their product as opposed to actually focusing on the service. Luckily, through another reviewer with similar experience we were able to find Judge.me - this app literally has pretty much the same features as yotpo and you can customize everything.
As a small business owner I highly recommend other Shopify store owners to DO YOUR RESEARCH before committing to any app. After comparing yotpo with judge.me I figured for what we would be paying at yotpo, I could simply hire a full-time freelancer. The time that is spent going in circles with them is simply not worth it for us.
I am guilty of being one of those people who ignored all their bad reviews and signed up with them anyways thinking at least maybe we will get what we pay for. Higher price in this case does not = to higher quality, better service etc, it just means higher price, more stress, time wasted...
Hopefully yotpo can consider listening to their customers and implementing some changes that reflects more attention and care for small businesses. In the meantime, we are going to be moving to another app that seems to be doing just that.
