I can't recommend this company. The product works fine, but they are not friendly to small businesses and have an overall "take it or leave it" attitude and pricing policy. We've used this app for YEARS. Macy's recently asked us to syndicate reviews so that all our positive reviews on our website would also show on Macy's. Yotpo not only refused to provide the data to them without "upgrading" our current plan, but the new plan they insisted on was a price increase of over 300%. Even worse, they required a full annual contract to do it.
That price alone would have eaten up the vast majority of any profit we might have hoped to increase at Macy's. So yeah, I found Yotpo's inflexibility to be no different from extortion, and very anti-competitive for a small firm like us. Thumbs down.

The syndication feature you are referring to is available for the Premium and Enterprise packages as an add on due to its complexity and the 3rd party agreements involved.

Very terrible experience. I wanted the reviews to be with the title of the product. If not they were at the very bottom of the product description and no one would see them. In order to do this I was given the option to allow the app to install or manually install the widget. I picked let the app install it, as soon as I did that my site malfunctioned. You could not open a product at all, you would get redirected to a "you may also like" page. There is no option to go back and undo it either.
Their AI bot was wrong about how to fix it. I contacted support but have yet to hear back on the issue.
In order to fix my site I had to reach out to Shopify support and they were able to disable the app and get my store functioning properly.
I'm very disappointed as the app appeared to be great.

This app is full of bugs - Upgrading your plan from Free to a paid tier doesn't actually work (the charge is applied, but service levels are NOT increased). Additionally, the Onboarding flow within the app is broken (persistently asks you to install the widget, when doing so, it adds the widget to your theme multiple times). Go with another option! Worse yet, the support is horrible.

I had to uninstall the app the support is terrible. After 3 weeks the problem was not fixed. I decided to go with another review provider.

We had a terrible experience. The whole platform was buggy for us and it took forever to get things done. The final straw was that emails for reviews post purchase just stopped going out with no explanation. We switched to a new provider and got 3 reviews in the first hour (while not getting any in 30 days on yotpo.)

Horrible company! For the past 2 months they have overcharged us. We have the $15 plan. They have billed us $119 for the past two months.
We contacted them last month and they stated they would escalate it through their billing department. They refunded $49.80. If they billed $119 and our plan is $15, they should have refunded $104. They claim the remaining funds went to "some app credits."
This month, they billed us $119 again!! We are now talking to their support again and getting the same "We will escalate this through our billing department" again.
I see others who say this is an excellent app and that was one of the reasons we opted to use this one over others. The app works fine; however, their billing system absolutely ruins the value the app provides.
We will be filing a complaint with our bank against this company. I encourage everyone thinking about using this app to BEWARE!

We are continuously improving our AI chatbot in order to provide the optimal experience for our customers and we apologize for your negative experience with it.
Worst app on the market. The support is terrible, they promise to solve the problem, but weeks pass and the problems are not resolved, there is a lot of bureaucracy, they transfer the ticket from one department to another, in other words, they simply shift papers and do nothing to solve the client’s problem. And this for a few hundred dollars a month. I use another application in my other stores and support from a competitor solves my problem in 24 hours!!!
despite the fact that a subscription costs a few dollars, not several hundred!

I installed Yotpo thinking I'd set it up later the next day. When I got to it the next morning I found it had already emailed review requests to my subscribers without my knowing. I lost a handful of subscribers because I didn't even get to brand the emails going out or manage the communication. And there's no way of pausing it other than uninstalling the app, which takes 48 hours for Yotpo to get around to doing.
