Be careful when you install, Yotpo will automatically start sending orders VS taking you through a setup process where you can customise how customers will receive reviews etc...
Before I knew it a day had passed and the platform had already sent 80% of my monthly quota within a day. I sell products that need more time to review vs. their 14-day default flow. Not the greatest start for those businesses that have a backlog of orders requiring reviews.
When you install make sure you go straight to the left-hand navigation and find "Review Request Flow" and deactivate the 14-day post-process flow they automatically start on your behalf. To do this, navigate to the three horizontal dots, left-click and hit the 'deactivate' button. The flow will stop and then you can customise what you need to customise.
I know the platform will be great yet I find it strange it just starts sending reviews without a user setup process.

I am a small business and was looking for an efficient review App, easy to install. I am very happy with the return I am getting from the Yotpo App and the flexibility it offers. Another update, we switched to a new theme and needed some help getting everything working for our reviews, carousel and badge widget and the team (especially Kenneth John M) helped me to get it up and running in minutes!!

I highly recommend this App and Services. I used this service when I used GoDaddy and loved how easy it was for my customers and for myself. I have since switched to Shopify and migrated my information. My reviews did not migrate over so I had to download the App and plug it into my store. I was having difficulties figuring out how to make the app work. I contacted the apps customer service and was taken care of immediately. Lemuel was so much help and had the widget working in no time. Lemuel also customized for me and made sure everything was to my liking. Lemuel went above and beyond to help me and make this widget perfect for my online store.

DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU DURING THE INITIAL ONBOARDING CALL - FEATURES THEY PROMISE DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST
After having used the app for only a few days I have now discovered the 3rd feature that was confirmed to exist during the onboarding call - which in reality is not actually available. It turns out the Yotpo sales rep has been lying through his teeth to get me signed. When explaining what some of the issues with our previous subscription service were - he literally had a solution for every single problem, all of our headaches were promised to be resolved by switching to Yotpo because their tool supposedly is more sophisticated than any other subscription service. BS!
- migration took almost 6 weeks from when the agreement was signed - although the sales rep promised everything will be completed in no more than 48hrs
- they don't allow you to send your self test emails
- they have very limited notifications that can be sent to customers - there is no option for a customised notification. Just to give one example: should a customer decide to pause their subscription no notification is being triggered. They have a simple "Welcome" and "subscription cancelled" notification. Very limited
- we've had issues with deliverability of Yotpo email notifications - it took several days to receive CNAME records - several days later we still have not received confirmation from their end that our domain is now authenticated on their end
- the Yotpo Dashboard doesn't even contain the most important number - Revenue created during any given time? They argue that it's more convenient to have this number within the Shopify Analytics section instead. If you want to look up stats for the previous month for example you can find average order value for subscriptions, number of subscription orders etc all within the Yotpo Dashboard. But you then have to exit the screen move back to Shopify and dig into your analytics in order to see how much revenue was actually created through subscriptions. Seems very logical and saves everyone a lot of time and effort (not).
I'm running out of enthusiasm to keep going but trust me the list of lies and missing features is long

Had an issue with the reviews not displaying on our site, and quickly without any hesitation, Nicole in support fixed everything. VERY HELPFUL!!!! MIstakenly our team never added the javascript to our shopify theme to make everything work, Nicole pointed this out and put the correct code into our site and all our reviews showed up.

Customer service is fantastic - managed to get into trouble within the first 30mins of using it as I'd made a mistake during setup, but Allen M helped me out super quickly - really helpful and friendly, solved my problem and got me going again!
Just installed Yotpo app and installed my reviews, but didn't see them on my store. I started a chat to figure out that issue thats when John B came in. Very helpfully from the start to a look at my account a assured me that it can take up to 24hrs to updated and was there for any other questions I might of had. Appreciated John B
