AutoDS: AI Dropshipping & POD

I'm a tech-challenged person with multiple mental disabilities. Still, I stretch to do the best I can with new adventures. I'm almost through with my main tasks and doing detail work. When I look at any webpage, I find it hard to locate almost anything. My brain overlooks most nuances, which can make things that would take a normal brain less than a second can take four or five instructions through chat to help me.

Today I was really struggling, and had to finish a project. The auto DS app made it easy to recover some products I'd accidently deleted. Shopify AI support was awesome in helping me find my way despite my ADHD and mental processing disabilities.

I would still be pounding my head against the wall (metaphorically) had I not received their help!

I could not have possibly made my way through all the tasks necessary to set up my ecommerce business without AutoDS and the Shopify team!

Hello, I rarely leave reviews but I feel compelled to let you guys know about this over the top customer service from Eva Mos; agent from AutoDS. Firstly, As a new Shopify dropshipping store owner, I have been using AutoDS as my dropshipping choice, to distribute my products. What you should know about me, is my technical skills is sub-par at best. Since my store was just an idea,I’ve been at most, emailing and making the most use, of their online support chats to get answers. It was the week before launch and of course, I was in a deep state of panic because I had done a test order and although I received my receipt from my store along with my order number, I unfortunately was not able to locate my tracking info. I immediately did what I had done countless times. I obtained proof of what I had and explained to several AutoDS agents what my issue was. Unfortunately AutoDS’s agents couldn’t seem to resolve the issue so they advised that a specialist would be in touch. While waiting to speak with a specialist, I remembered a couple days prior another agent had appeared in my WhatsApp. I acknowledged the agent Eva Mos in my WhatsApp chat and from there it was a different world.. She first apologized for the stress I was having we worked together step by step on this day and after an hour she spoke to me not as an agent but as one human being to another. She convinced me to hold off for an additional week of the relaunch of my store and she would work with me everyday, to be certain that there would be absolutely zero issues, before I opened my store. What other company does this? I agreed to hold off on opening my store. We worked every morning for 5 days, to make sure that my store would run smoothly, for my customers and that meant the absolute world to me . Thank you Eva Mos, not only for going above and beyond, but for being human too.

AutoDS’s response still does not address the main issue. Their own Help Center has referred to a “variation limit” for a long time and clearly explains that published product variants count toward the subscription limit. However, the Shopify pricing page continues to advertise “200 Products,” “500 Products,” and “1K Products,” without clearly stating that these figures actually represent product variants rather than individual products.
In practice, the plans are limited by product variants. For example, one apparel product with 5 sizes and 6 colors creates 30 product variants and consumes 30 units of the plan limit. This means a plan advertised as supporting “500 products” may accommodate only about 16 such apparel products, not 500 actual products. This distinction is especially important for fashion stores, where multiple sizes and colors are standard.
AutoDS has clearly been aware of this calculation for a long time because it is documented in its own Help Center. Therefore, why is the Shopify pricing page still using the word “products” instead of clearly stating “product variants”? Why is this critical limitation placed inside support documentation rather than displayed prominently before merchants subscribe and pay?
A generic acknowledgement of the feedback does not resolve the issue. AutoDS should directly explain why the sales page uses terminology that can give merchants a substantially different impression of the plan’s real capacity. The pricing page should clearly advertise “200 product variants,” “500 product variants,” and “1,000 product variants,” not “products.”
Continuing to use the less accurate wording despite knowing how the limit is actually calculated creates a serious transparency concern. Merchants deserve to understand the true capacity of the plan before subscribing, not after discovering the restriction through support articles or after importing their products.

AutoDS is a large and professional company, and for that reason transparency should be one of its core principles. Unfortunately, the current wording does not reflect that standard.
