We needed an app that would allow for products to be fully customisable. Everything had to be considered from delivery, installations, accessories, sizes with numerous variations of prices (that depended on what was selected). The support team for APO have been (and continue to be) simply amazing in helping us navigate the app's capabilities and have helped us with alot of backend-coding in order to meet our needs. Lifesavers indeed, highly recommend!
I've used this app for a few basic product option sets. Those have been just fine. My biggest takeaway so far is that I've needed help two separate times (about a month in between) and both times I've had my problems addressed and fixed within 30 mins. Very helpful.
This app was installed so quickly and was working within 24 hours. Had tried a few but this was the best and the easiest to use

Our team used this app for a Ticketed Event. Instead of selling tickets for a generic amount ex: General Admission: $20. Too boring and unprofitable, Instead we used this app for upselling customers. Backstage Passes, VIP Dinner, Meet & Greet, Accommodation, VIP Shuttle to Event etc etc. At the time of this writing our event has already grossed $10,000+. What started off as $35 tickets, this APP, has allowed to dramatically increase our margins.
If you ever run into obstacles, their support team is right there to help. Super fast responses. They'll go as far as updating your code!

Really good for creating complex relationships of multiple options. Reminds of the options available on apple products when making appropriate design changes.

Just updating our review here as we have been using the Advanced Product Options app for a few years now. Back in 2020, we wrote a review about it crashing and that we might stop using it... but that doesn't happen as often any more and it's a useful app to have.
The thing that does happen at the moment is some customers add items to cart and don't get charged and the other thing is the add ons sometimes come through with a charge but no name.
But, we can deal with this happening a couple of times a day by contacting the customer.
It is a good app to have to allow our customers to personalise their gifts.
Sorry to hear you had that experience. I have posted our findings on what caused the issue in the previous review, but I'll also duplicate it here:
It looks like some third party (with unclear intent) was using an automated script on one of our client stores, which was causing tens of thousands of fake products to be added to the shopping cart within a short period of time. At certain point it appears this triggered Shopify's product API limits, which caused the API restrictions to take effect for that store. Since we used to have one queue for all requests, those restrictions caused extreme delays in processing products that are being added to the cart.
Shortly after identifying the cause of the issue, we implemented and deployed a solution. Moving forward we will be taking additional steps to rework the logic and optimize app's performance.
