What a scam this is! We never used the app, and even uninstalled it, and are STILL being charged a hefty monthly fee every month with no way of cancellation. We are now in contact with Shopify Support to try to find a solution and a refund. What a hassle!
Hi there. Please understand the difference between each app's billing cycle and your Shopify store's billing cycle. Every month, on the same day, you receive bills from all apps you're using. That day does not relate to each app's cycle. In some cases, you receive bills from apps that you uninstalled because the subscription actually started before you uninstalled the app. This rule applies to not only UpPromote, but most apps on Shopify App store.
Also, to cancel, you can either downgrade to the Free plan or uninstall the app.

This has to be one of the worst and most frustrating Customer Service I have ever had to deal with. After speaking with Stark and Lina, it is clear they value nothing more than money. After uninstalling the app several months ago, it has still continued to charge us. Even when speaking to them, they provided no solution as they said "I cannot provide proof of uninstalling the app"... Pathetic
We reviewed this case and both Shopify Billing and our app logs show no uninstall record from 4 months ago as you claimed. Shopify also confirmed that there's no uninstallation recorded during that time. Despite that, we refunded 2 months as a goodwill gesture, yet you asked for more.
For fairness and accuracy, we can only refund charges that are backed by Shopify’s billing and uninstall history.

absolutely ridiculous app not helpful or useful, still tried to charge my card $299 for a sub i cancel and deleted there app yet they still insist in trying to take money from me! Shopify has too Much of these vampire like Apps that you need to help grow Etsy is much better From getting Organic Sales
Shopify send you bills from all app on the same day every month, while each app has its own billing cycle. If the app's billing cycle started before you canceled/uninstalled, you would still receive the bill for the whole cycle when the next billing date comes. This rule applies to all apps.

Das ist eine App, die ich nicht empfehlen kann. nachdem ich alles eingerichtet habe, was mich viel Zeit gekostet hat, wird auf einmal "500 Server Error" angezeigt. Alles umsonst. Ich werde diese App wieder kündigen und mein Geld zurück verlangen. Das ist eine Zumutung.

Terrible UX experience. Not mobile user friendly. Asked the dev team to help, they completely messed up our store pages ( eg: privacy policy, FAQ's, ect ). They were showing the sign up form, and when disabled, completely DELETED ALL INFORMATION FROM THESE PAGES. Absolutely outraged. Deleting app. Never again.
Although you couldn't provide any proof of our team caused the issue nor work with us to find the root cause, our support team has fixed the issue in your theme codes for you already.
In any case, we respect your choice of Affiliate marketing solution. Good luck with your business.

Scam app - install it and next thing if you want any feature at all you have to pay far more than $30 a month! What a Joke!
It says the installation is free, but when you install the app. They provide you 14-day free trial. Once the trial is ended, they don't discontinue. They charged you automatically and said it's based on Shopify rules. You need to check your plan description on this page and be really careful!! It's a trap. Really shame on you guys. You stole my money and refuse a refund.
We have a Free plan that users can use as long as they want.
On the other hand, if you choose a paid plan, the billing cycle will start as soon as the trial expires. This subscription model is very common. Also, for people who forgot to cancel after a couple of days, we do offer refunds.
We hope you won't get much surprised when you find other similar subscription services.
Does not work and there is no access to customer service. It has been two years. No one has contacted me. My affiliates are selling things but getting no credit so they abandoned it. We lost a lot of business pursuing affiliates who then thought we were just not paying them for links they could SEE from their end. No response ever from customer service.

Cant do that much without paying :(
Paid for a year subscription and ended our affiliate program early. This app has plenty of bugs and the major one is that the PayPal integration is broken so all payments have to be made manually. I removed the app after 6 months and this company is refusing to even offer a partial refund. Stay away from them as their customer support is awful and the app is full of bugs. You can do the same exact thing that this app does for free with Shopify collabs.

1. Our agent did not refuse your refund request. He only requested a billing screenshot, as per our policy. You are eligible for a partial refund and we’re ready to process it.
2. We found no record of you reporting the PayPal integration issue. This is often related to PayPal account approval, not the app itself. We hope to get a chance to troubleshoot this further.
3. Our app has helped thousands of merchants successfully, and we take pride in resolving issues and bugs quickly through our support channels. We'd appreciate if you could share the bugs you found.
