Airfields

We used Airfields to add on a lot of additional content capabilities to our website. Shopify does not provide variants effectively and this app does it perfectly. A lot of dynamic content is available by each variant on our website, thanks to Airfields. In terms of service, they have always been super efficient and diligent. Recently, we faced a situation where almost all our content had vanished as someone accidentally took off the theme with the Airfields settings. They helped us right away and made sure we were back in order. Seeing the constraints that Shopify gives one for variants, the Airfields app is most promising. The only feature that I still want them to add, which in our case becomes extremely important is a way to save all our data/information in a way we can access it in case we get into this problem again. Other than that, the people at Airfields are super nice and super confident in everything they say and do.

Airfields is great--easy to use and makes updating and customizing our website simple. We'd definitely recommend it!

Heavy using this app for several months now and its very good and helpful. Few observations:

1) Be careful with variable types. When you create some type like boolean and import boolean values to it. When Airfields opens and saves it its suddenly string type with "true/false" value in it. Its a problem because all other values are still boolean.

2) When you have Variant metafield you cant access it when you have product with only one variant. I think there should be both options in the menu "Edit product metafields" and "Edit variant metafields" just like Shopify does it with regular fields.

TIP: Its useful to create Shopify definition for Airfields metafields. So they are accessible directly from product detail. Its not possible with all types though.

All in all we ended up using regular metafields if we can because of that.

Very easy to use. Great app that allows us to more easily customize our site and content. Much better UI than other similar apps we've tried.

This app has been incredibly helpful for organizing all of our custom theme's various metafield sections - at the product level, and at the collection level. It's also allowed us to work with our developer team to build out dynamic experiences like product bundles and cart upsells. The interface is simple to use and understand, and it has allowed us to quickly and easily make changes to our website!

Airfields makes it childishly easy to create custom sections for our different product pages and landers. Simple interface, never any problems suiting our needs. Highly recommended for those that love to build.

An excellent app that allows us to get around Shopify's limitations. We are now able to add a lot of useful info since as variant info tips, dynamic author info, and images etc.. 10/10 would recommend.

I honestly did not know technology could do this type of stuff. I mean, I know cars can almost drive themselves now, but customizing the Shopify CMS has always seemed to require many hours and code and sweat and stress... and then it all breaks. Airfields has made creating and updating complex site customizations SO MUCH EASIER.

Airfields is easily the best metafields app on Shopify at the moment, and the support has been phenomenal so far. Highly recommended!
