Really excited about using this. But, there is no support at the moment and it won't work. I hope this matures quickly and soon.

APP claims to be free but there is a monthly subscription after a short trial period. Would have been more helpful if potential costs were explained upfront before installation and application for merchant payment.

Thanks for your question and interest to use our app! Our app does not charge a monthly subscription fee nor do we offer a trial period, I think you were using Alipay from a different provider. We charge a processing fee as a % of the total processed volume. When installing our app, you will fill up an online agreement in which we list our pricing there.
There are other providers on Shopify that provides Alipay and they may be charging a different fee. This app listing is the official Alipay app referred as "Alipay (Direct)" if you search under payment provider. We do not charge a monthly fee. But we can't speak for other providers' fees when they provide Alipay.
