A timesaver. At first I was unease with using this app because it felt like a bet, it was either going to be good or really bad. Turns out that its awesome.
Not only it saves me time but also comes with descriptions that are better than the ones I was coming up with.

I have tried so hard to keep up with adding AltText to my images once I realised the importance of them but I have struggled to write ones that are SEO friendly. This app has saved me so much time and gets the description correct 98% of the time.
I recommend reading the text to make sure it makes sense and correctly represents the picture. I have only had to adjust a few which has saved me so much time.
I recommend reviewing the settings before creating your first AltText so you don't accidently use all your first 25 credits on one product that has multiple photos. Once I got the settings how I need them, I was able to generate text for the photos I needed.
This app saves so much time and relieves the pressure of trying to write the photo descriptions. I also love that I can then copy the text either from shopify or my AltText dashboard and then use it on social media sites that allow AltText.
Highly recommend this app. I currently buy credits as needed as I only have a few new products to upload but once I get more, I will be upgrading to a yearly package.

So basically after this app messed up my new items ALTs and me trying to fix it all the costumer service said "maybe this app is not for your store". I sell products how this app not for my store? Basically most of my ALT's are a mess and they just gave up.
AI will write: "Model wearing ..." as Alt which is clearly not ok
or ALT's are too long
or you pay to overwrite but it does not overwrite. I just dont understand how you could give this app any positive rating. They promised a full refund never got the refund.

We loved our experience with Alt Text - it's a very useful SEO tool to have in your toolbox, and it's been super easy to use too.

We were pleasantly surprised with how fast and accurate the Alts came out. Our only comment would be a to add a way to track where the Alt Update process has reached during a bulk update.

Great app - We just started and it is already saving us so much time! Easy to use and I love that you do not need a monthly subscription (though we might have to get one eventually!).

The good:

Does what it says on the tin. The AI was pretty good and it should help with SEO.

Support was responsive, although a little scripted at times, but helpful and genuinely wanted to make things work.

The bad:

It's a new app and seems like it needs some more input to be a great app. With a bigger catalog t's impossible to know how many images you have and hence how many credits you need.

Credit pricing is inflexible if you have more than 2000 images. The model doesn't really work for numbers over that.

Seems to have the odd bug but works if you run one update at a time.

Summary:

I really wanted to like this more that I did and use it on my store. Unfortunately, it just does not fit the needs of the customer if they are over a certain size and the app itself does not provide feedback and information on numbers, pricing, credits left and more. I think with work it could be a great app but just isn't there yet.
