I've had the app installed for a while and have encountered the same problems time after time.

When switching currency, the rounding rules that you set up in markets (rounding to 0 decimal points) doesn't flow through to this app. So for a currency like Kuwait Dinar, instead of 145KWD, it shows 145.760KWD - which doesn't look great or professional.
This applies to all currencies - ignoring the decimal rules you can set with Shopify, so USD shows as $450.00 for example.

I have contacted support numerous times and they either say it's a shopify problem, or that they just can't help me.

Additionally, they are great at the initial customisation setup, but EVERY TIME you update your theme, their customisations are removed, and you have to reach out to them to edit it for you again, which has become extremely tiresome.

It is such a shame as this app is generally good at what it does, but the creators seem to have no desire to refine it to make it an excellent experience for shopify users and their customers.

I will be looking around to find an alternative.

Regarding the rounding rules issue: This behavior is tied to Shopify Markets, where the rounding is set at Shopify's end as rightly informed by our agent earlier. Unfortunately, our app reflects the data provided by Shopify. Shopify Support would be the best point of contact to resolve this, as they can directly assist with Markets configurations.

Regarding the theme updates, we understand how frustrating it can be to reapply customizations after every theme change. While this is common with theme-dependent apps, we are exploring ways to streamline this process for our users. In the meantime, our team remains available to assist you promptly with any adjustments required post-theme updates.

on checkout the currency goes back to the primary country, how can we make it provide the buyers currency?

Shopify does not allow any currency app to work at its checkout hence Auto Currency Switcher app works till the cart page only.

For checkout, you can enable Shopify Multi Currency feature or you can drop an email at support@mlveda.com and we will assist you with the checkout app by MLVeda that you had on your store earlier.

Also, you can reply to the email already sent on payment.mosaic@gmail.com.

I tried using this app. unfortunately it isn't accurate with the PayPal Exchange rate and as a result charges a different amount than what is displayed on the Shopify store.

Hi,
It is a limitation of Shopify and not of our app.
Shopify does not allow any app to convert currency for PayPal payments as it is not supported by Shopify's multi currency feature.
Due to this, the currency reverts to store currency and PayPal exchange rates are applied when trying to pay using PayPal.

My store's default currency has 3 decimal points and the currency switcher cannot accommodate this issue so I had to remove it

the idea of this app is great, but unfortunately it's not working the way it supposed to.
1) even though I'm located in Switzerland, my selected default currency in the setting is Swiss franks, even though my shop is also running in Switzerland and all prices are in franks, the app keeps auto-switching it to euros and I can't change it!
2) the drop-out button for choosing a currency is only visible for 1 second when loading the website and immediately disappears, even though I'm using the most basic free Shopify theme.

So I'd probably have to delete the app unfortunately.

I am not sure yet. I cant seem to find where the auto currency is. I tried to do incognito tab with a Australia address but its not working
