After a year of "set it and forget it" (because it just works), I needed some help and support answered within a day with step by step instructions.

I love this app. I was so sick and tired of fighting other countries with stealing my photos and product information, then listing them on their fake websites to fraud people out of money. Since I have installed this app, I have less intruders on my site and this app allowed me to disable the right click option to capture my text and photos. It's sad that we have to be diligent with this kind of fraud, but so thankful for this app because there would be no way for me to stop it without being consumed with it all the time and then I would be neglecting my business. This app is a must have for your shop!
BM: Country Blocker IP Blocker support is fantastic. Google had identified that my website might be compromised, and alerted my ad admin that my ads were being paused. I sent a note to Amy White in support and asked her if she could see what might be going on. She got back to me IMMEDIATELY (which I especially appreciated since emails from Google are extremely nerve-wracking) and reviewed my site. She said it was not hacked, but made a small tweak to my IP blocking settings that could have triggered concerns. We are requesting a review currently and hopefully all will be ok. Through this, Amy was knowledgeable, supportive and proactive. Highly recommend this app and their superlative support. Thank you, Amy!
Blocking certain countries has virtually eliminated the spam emails from "professionals" with mostly gmail addresses that have no relation to the name that is stated in their email. These email were offers to "audit" my website or to report the numerous errors that were detected.
I also like the log that shows where the website visits originate as well as blocked visits.
I had paid for several apps on Shopify and none could effectively block bots without blocking seo bots. The VPN settings were default set at moderately high and there was no way around it. This app is by far the cheapest AND the most effective. the customer support is also very good. I am not a tech person and they broke down my issue with the checkout bot I had in a way I auld understand AND they told me what to enable to fix it. This app is very easy to use and the ability to see visits as human vs bot also makes it easy to streamline blocking and targeting IPs. Highly recommend.
Love everything about this product. . It blocks the customers from countries I don't sell in and even let me block by ISP/ASN, so I could stop Amazon from constantly crawling my site - I don't sell there and never will. I also love looking at the Shop Visitor Logs - they show great details on the way customers view my site - which pages and products they look at.
This app has really helped decrease the unwanted traffic on my website and they have been super helpful with an issue I am having with bot traffic. Their customer service is amazing, responds quickly, and really took the time to explain and help me. I am so glad I found this app and highly recommend the service

I downloaded this app and a few others, and it brought even more countries in!! I had over 2,000 in one day! I wanted to block some countries from accessing my website. I have another app that can see who comes and goes; this app brought even more in! I contacted them, and they said, "Oh, you will still see it because they come to your website; we just don't allow them to go any further," which is a lie because my other app shows me exactly where they were going. Don't use this app; it will kill your bounce rate! After extensive research, I found an app that actually works!
We have never said, “Oh, you will still see it because they come to your website......” You mentioned installing many apps, so we don’t know which app’s support team told you that, but it was not us.
You mentioned that after installing our app, you suddenly started getting 2,000 additional visits per day from different countries. We’re not sure what you are referring to here. If you’re suggesting that installing our app somehow made other bots notice your website and start attacking it, that is simply not possible. No Shopify app has the ability to attract traffic, trigger bots, or generate visits from thousands of IPs across different countries. On the other hand, if you believe our app directly generated this traffic, that is even less reasonable. Why would we, AFTER you installed our app, rent 2,000 IPs from different countries every day to attack your store, and then tell you we can’t fully handle it? That would serve no purpose and would only create unnecessary suspicion. Logically and technically, it makes no sense, and no app would do that.
We checked the bot traffic on your store. The bot traffic was all coming from Huawei Cloud. Even if the IPs appear to be from different countries, our app had already successfully blocked them. What we cannot do is prevent other third-party tracking tools from recording these blocked visit attempts, which only result in an “Access Denied” response. That behavior is determined by Shopify’s architecture, and it applies to every storefront-level app. In other words, many tracking tools will still log the request even when the visitor is immediately blocked and only sees “Access denied.” It’s similar to blocking a number on your phone: the call is blocked, but you can still see a missed call.
Even so, we did provide a method that can fully resolve this situation. The setup is a bit more involved, but by the time we shared it, the app had already been uninstalled.
After you uninstalled our app and installed another app, the bot traffic stopped. We encourage you to take a rational look at everything that happened after installing our app, and if this traffic was truly caused by an app, then reconsider which app is actually more likely to be related.
