It's okay to use the tool because it's free but It takes several days to for the alt tag to work and only some of the product images are tagged, not all. Doesn't seem to be reliable.

The SEO Image Optimizer, is a valuable part of our website. With a quick configuration alt tags are added to all images.
This app is great, and saved me hours and hours of work doing something I thought I'd have to do myself! I'm crossing my fingers it helps direct traffic to my store too!
