I used this app to add a ecommerce to my clients Webflow site. We originally were using Webflow ecommerce but were limited on payment options (stripe only). With my client having CBD products, Stripe and Paypal were not an option so I did some research and thankfully Spotify allowed Authorize.net to process payments. Syncing products from Shopify into Webflow did have some ups and downs but I want to share some of the issues that could use some refining that would have been beneficial: 1) Ability to mass-export Product ID numbers without using a 3rd-party app.
2) Having different cart themes and more customization without needing to work in liquid code. Ex: Removing the cart icon on checkout took sometime to figure out. (Cart links to "Online Store" cart but we don't have that with only a buy button)
3) Ability to have a cart page as well as a checkout page, all without having to buy the online store. If I could have a url that I could have linked to the Webflow cart icon that would've been very helpful. 4) Ability to have different cart designs/locations. This goes with #3 but to have the option to show the hovering cart Shopify icon, or have a url to paste that goes to a cart page would be a useful option. That's all I got! Thanks for the great product. - Ryan
I'm so confused. I can't get payouts to work. I chatted with a rep but no resolution. I am afraid to continue with this project because I am not sure if identity theft is happening or what. How can my banking information be wrong? No bueno. Not sure how to proceed or if I should.
Hey, there. Thanks for taking the time to write a review here. It sounds like your issue is related to Shopify Payments and not the Buy Button itself. Our general support team should be able to give you a hand with that, however I'll follow up with you via email to see if you need any more assistance. Speak soon! - Brie, Shopify Support
I ONLY use the Buy Button on my site so maybe 3 stars is a little harsh but I'm really disappointed buyers can't leave reviews with the Buy Button and am hoping this will change soon!
It needs work. Needs to be more user friendly and provide better User Interaction/User Experience. People find it hard to trust buying through this buy button, all my customers are using Paypal instead.
Thank you for writing your review and for providing your suggestions on how the Buy Button app could be improved. I will be sure to submit your feedback to our team who build and develop the app. Merchant feedback plays a large part in determining what changes we make to the platform, so your comments here are much appreciated. -Oliver, Shopify Support
Needs the ability to add more than just one product at a time at a time instead of having to create collections (since I like to add these buttons to the end of a blog so the combination of items will be different)
Also wish there was a way to custom design the "View Product" button since there are some unnecessary things that show up when I click on view product (but I don't wanna have to change the product page just for that). View Product button literally pulls everything from your product page including custom codes. It just looks awful
Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for providing us with your feedback. I can certainly see why these suggested changes to the Buy Button app would be helpful and as such I have submitted this feedback to our development team for their consideration. Merchant feedback plays a large part in our decision making process when it comes to making improvements to the apps that Shopify offers, so we appreciate you letting us know your thoughts on what would help make the Buy Button app more useful. -Victor, Shopify Support
It appears Shopify wants to keep its customers away from Wordpress. Hmmm... they might just get their wish (but in reverse) if they don't fix this plugin. Shopify is NOT Wordpress and the rate the development is going it never will be.
Please stop crippling Shopify if you want your platform to survive in the long term.
The buy button is great. Makes managing products on my website very easy. There's only one thing I would immediately add if I could. There's 3 "versions" of the buy button - classic, basic and full view. There definitely should be a fourth which has the button AND the price, but no photo. Call it "streamline" or something. Since I like to use my own product photos on the site I have no use for the expanded thumbnail that you would use, but having the price shown along with the button would relieve me and having to keep a separate pricelist correlated with the prices on Shopify. Do that and the Buy Button is perfect.
Theres no way to show the reviews of each product on the wordpress blog. It only shows the product and description but no reviews.
Decent app overall. Seems to function well enough. The new ability to access from the product page is nice.
However, I find its use limited for my business as I can not create a checkout link with multiple different items. It's rare that my customers purchase single items so being able to curate a custom basket of items would be very helpful.
Thank you for sharing this feedback with us! If you know customers would like to purchase certain items together, we do have the option to create a Buy Button for collections (http://bit.ly/2mIfRIL). If you have customers that are reaching out directly as well, Draft Orders could be a good solution for creating custom carts! This page here talks about those (http://bit.ly/2mQFk2r).
I've also followed up with you via email to log your feedback for our development team, so that we can continue to improve Shopify and our apps. Thanks again! -Lizzy, Shopify Support
Super easy to use and super portable. The descriptions didn't always appear correctly when using full size though.
