The Goddess Temple Cacao
I use Kajabi so adding the BUY BUTTON has been great for creating a cart for my Ceremonial Cacao products. I'm so glad I found this offer with SHOPIFY. I have had some issues fully understanding the capabilities of this APP however. The Shopify website only shares information about the 3 Shopify Store Programs, so it has been impossible to confirm some important details such as how to make sure my Shipping discount is actually honoured because I'm being charged more than what the client is paying through Canada Post, how to integrate Affiliates, how to add pop ups, bounce orders, upsells, multiple currencies, etc. We can't find any of this information anywhere on the site. There are charts showing what the other 3 Shopify store options provide....it would be great if they included the BUY BUTTON APP in that chart, just add a fourth column. Maybe someone reading this can help to point us in the right direction? Thank you in advance. If in fact I'm missing this info somenwhere, I'd be more than happy to move from a 4/5 to 5/5. Thank you.
Hi there, I am not sure what exactly this is useful for on my website. I intalled the app but there is not explanation what it is useful for.
Do I need it if I already sell my products?
Hi, there! In brief, the Buy Button is a shortcut for buying one of your products, typically placed on an external website. They make purchasing products easier for your customers that are coming from other sites, and they can also be used to create quick checkout links that you can then share with customers through an email campaign, direct message, or social media post. You can read more about it here: https://bit.ly/3fEvRmo. Feel free to reach out to support any time with more questions about it. - Brie, Shopify Support
For the most part, buy button works OK when you already have your own web site. Three things really need improvement, though.
1 - A buyer can see if an item is in stock before adding to the cart (that's good), but the actual quantity on hand is hidden. The buyer does not know if they ordered more than what's available until checkout.
2 - Once in checkout, a buyer cannot edit the cart contents, and cannot easily return to the website to continue shopping. If they wanted six red party hats but only three are available, they have to abandon their cart and start over. If the same thing happens again with orange party hats, they're likely to look for another store.
3 - When you pause your store (temporarily close), if someone clicks an add-to-cart button they get an error message thrown at them, "Oops, something went wrong. Contact the store owner." or words to that effect. It would be much better to let the owner create a "paused store message" that would be displayed rather than a misleading error message. Thanks for asking,
Thanks so much for this feedback! I can definitely see how these changes could be beneficial, and I'll be sure to pass those requests on to the relevant team. Cheers. - Brie, Shopify Support
