It was my first time trying out LIVE commerce. It was a fun and engaging process. Hope to utilize it for more interactions with my customers.
The good:
- Easy UI/UX for non-tech savvy to set up, everything was pretty intuitive and there's a manual I could reference
- I can connect camera and microphone or use the default set up
- I could go between my Inventory, Product, and CameraFi Shopping within my store to adjust discounts while I'm streaming, in realtime.
- I can see the live chat really easily and it was really fun to interact with my customers.
- Responsive customer service, they were helpful
The meh:
- I could only set up 3 discount codes for streaming, but I was selling 4 products for the session (maybe the strategy should be that I sell fewer than 3 items for the special LIVE discount next time)
- There is only one fee structure, which I wish there could be more options or different tiers. For small businesses like mine, fees can add up. Maybe there can be a threshold set up for it. When asked about the fee structure, the team kindly replied that they're working on diversifying the fees so more people could try out!
- There's a bit of set up in different menu items: widget, event, stream... so it's not as friendly for any last-minute, spontaneous streaming service. (They're easy to set up, and it's definitely for "shopping" rather than chatting on IG)
