We were super frustrated with their min/max product issue earlier - it wasn't adding gifts based on quantities which led to a lot of complaints.
After speaking with Marko & Peter, they diagnosed the issue and fixed it, it is now working as intended.
Just like any other user, at the end of the day we just want a prompt solution to our problem, and the team delivered it.

easy to set up and helped us quickly add a free item to holiday orders
App can be tricky to make work the way you want it to. I could get past that if it wasn't for the slow support.
Unlike almost all other apps I've used on Shopify, they only have support via email - not chat.
That could be okay, but the email responses are very slow, especially considering that issues with this app can impact conversion rate and shopper experience quite significantly.
REVIEW UPDATE 1/16 (Changing from 2 stars to 1 star)*****
I strongly dislike dishonest and manipulative business practices. Below is what occurred after I left my original review.
1. Several days after the review was posted, the company reached out asking me to change it. This delay is typical of their customer service and was, ironically, part of the issue raised in my review. I was not willing to change an honest review, especially when the behavior I described continued.
2. Days later, they offered me their premium plan for free, supposedly for a lifetime. I accepted. At no point was I told this was contingent on changing my review, nor did I agree to do so.
3. After upgrading my account, they followed up multiple times asking me to confirm that I received the upgrade, adding that if I did not respond, they would assume it went to the wrong person and remove it. I replied to confirm that I had received it.
4. A day or two later, they again asked me to change my review. This request was repeated multiple times over the following weeks.
5. I found this behavior unprofessional and increasingly annoying, so I chose not to respond. In hindsight, I should have simply replied with a clear “no.”
6. Most recently, the company posted a comment on my review stating that I am still “happily using the app after the issue was resolved quickly." That is not accurate and I never said any of that, so I'm not sure why they would publicly put words in my mouth. Also, while the app remained installed, I have not run any additional promotions using it since these events.
I was not going to share any of what occurred after I left my initial review until I saw that particular comment. I was just going to let my review stand (because it was honest) and move on quietly.
Due to this continued dishonesty, however, I have now permanently deleted the app, switched to an alternative, edited my review to say exactly what happened, and reduced my rating from two stars to one.
To the owner(s): I would much rather pay a monthly fee for an app with reliable, timely customer service, which I am now "happily" doing, than use a product given to me for free because it has poor customer service, and that tries to bribe, harass, and coerce its way to good reviews instead of just fixing the underlying issue.
Update 2026-01-16:
If anyone else is reading this, we are happy to let you know that this issue was resolved very quickly after the merchant reported it (in a day or two) and the merchant is still happily using our Cartbot app for their promotions :)

Works great for our purposes where we sell bulk product and the container needs to be added. The support staff are super helpful when we have run into issues and resolve anything quickly.
We've been using this app to simply add a 'free sample' for every purchase. It's super simple to setup and I've NEVER had any issues after it was created.
The only missing feature is that there is (that I can find) no way to have a rule *exception*. For example, if someone adds just a Gift Card to the cart CartBot will still add the sample (which requires shipping) thus adding shipping fee to the gift card only order.
