The idea behind it is wonderful. Easy to set up and defintiely useful. However my staff complained that when we are online, it suddenly goes offline in the middle of chatting. Also we are online, but sometimes it appears we aren't and our customers have to send us an offline message instead.
I would wait for them to fix all these problems before installing at it gives us more problems than when we didn't have a live chat function.
Also, tried to uninstall from the dashboard, can't. Needed to go into my theme to edit the html and for someone who isn't savvy with code, this is a hassel.
Wonderful app! I like the reports they provide in the Pro plan. Support was great — friendly and knowledgeable!
Thre is no free plan as it's mentioned when we register. After 14 days they start to harass you with emails to upgrade and for review then they block access to the online list. The biggest lie is that they show you a list of supposedly online visitors from everywhere in the world and tell you if you want to unlock and chat with them you need to upgrade. I checked my account and no one was online in real time. I give one star because the system forced me to give at least one if not zero stars. I deleted the App. it does not worth with lies.
This app has really great features..I paid for the subscription-I really liked the information the app provided about live customers (location, IP, pages they were on) The whole point is so that you could interact with live shoppers- try to recover abandoned carts- etc..However, this app is so inconsistent with being able to identify when a customer is live on your website I couldn't take it anymore. I reached out to customer service twice about but all they can say is it's their "alogorithms"? That is completely unacceptable answer esp. since I am paying $19/mo for this feature! To give you an example-One time I had over 59 live customers and Chatra only notified me of 8-10 in an entire give day. 2 had abandoned carts which I was not able to address live with the customer because Chatra did not even notify me of anyone being on my website!?? This happens daily. I just got so fed up with it. Also, the desktop and mobile do not communicate properly-one says there is someone online -they other says no one is online..What the? This app could really be awesome! Chatra..get your alogorthim fixed and I will come back. For now, not worth the money for an app that does not live up to its claims.
This app has been pretty decent so far. I haven't been able to use it a ton yet but from what I have seen, it is user friendly with a professional, clean look.
The reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is for the fact that the login always gets me. I've heard of case sensitive passwords but I don't think I've ever had to worry about login names being case sensitive. I always forget about the case sensitive thing when I try to log in but I'm reminded when it doesn't let me in. It's just an annoying little thing that gets under my skin, it's a bit frustrating.
We are still learning to use ChatBot to retain customers but so far so good. One thing to note, I am not able to initiate the conversation.
easy integration simple to add and use a free chatbot in apps that works great! easy integration simple to add and use a free chatbot in apps that works great!
All good so far. Chatra was easy to set up and the options for customization are plenty and sufficient. The customer service is quick and helpful. The only thing i suggest is to make it easier to use a custom color for the chat bubble. But that is a detail.

Appallingly unprofessional support interaction with a member of Chatra's "Customer Success" team, & subsequently, management.
As a paid subscriber (since cancelled), I requested an unbranded chat box. This is offered on similar plans by their competitors (Tidio, Live Chat Inc., etc.)
It is standard practice that, following payment for a customer engagement service, the client brand controls the front-facing aesthetics of said service as it pertains to, & interacts with, their website. As an example, Shopify provides an option to remove the "Powered by Shopify" link for paying customers.
Below find Chatra's initial response to my request, verbatim:
"There's currently no setting for removing the "Get ••• Chatra" branding ... We will (only) remove it if you subscribe for (an additional) 6/12-months."
... &, subsequently, a member of Chatra's management:

Note
On July 28 '17, I signed-up for a free trial, active until August 12.
On August 2, I pre-subscribed to a paid plan valid from August 13 - September 12. This issue occured in the interim "free" period. Naturally, I requested a refund as our paid plan had yet to start.

"As for the refund, unfortunately we won't be able to provide that, we have a no refund policy outlined in our terms of service. Personally I don't think that taking our reputation hostage & asking for a ransom is the good way to conduct business, but I might have misunderstood you."
I like the functionality but wish customers would interact with it more. I wish there was an easier way to capture their contact information as well.
