Bad experience. After you leave good review, there no customer service any more. They just want review to higher rank
V&D use to be good. The app breaks every so often maybe once a month and I have to get in touch with support to fix the app. THey will fix it then it breaks without us touching our website. Dont know why...
With 24 hours, my problem still not solve. It really bad customer service this time. And app just some functions
The app began reducing customers orders to $0 for no reason. When we contacted them, they denied it and blamed Shopify. After days of back and forth - including them ignoring emails from Shopify tech, they acknowledged it was them but refused to say anything further. It cost us a lot of money and many angry customers when we had to inform them the free cart was in fact caused by a glitch.
reduces Facebook Pixel checkout events by 50%!!! Imagine all your custom retargeting audiences just get screwed up. Please fix your shit
I installed this and it looks nice and works ok but it messed up the checkout button in my cart by deleting the checkout button color. It was green and now theres nothing there but text. Something to do with the coding i assume. I would not use this app
This app will break your store along with every other volume based discounted pricing app. Ive used them all and they have all cost me thousands of dollars in lost sales. Shopify is just as bad because they allow terrible apps like this and many others on their platform. Shopify refuses to upgrade their system and allow for some basic features and instead opts for outside developers to create apps that end up breaking paying customers like myself storefronts. All I want is a functioning store but if you want any sort of cool features like volume-based pricing then forget about it. Shopify shame on you and shame on you Shopacado for putting out a quality product.
Been using this app for over a month now, and I'm stopping right now before they charge me for another month. Here's my honest review. It took about 30 minutes after installing the app, before they reached out asking for a 5-star review. I refused, until I have tested the app thoroughly, and boy was I in for a treat. The app wasn't calculating discounts correct for the products that I had on volume discounting, along with other products that had a static discount set on Shopify itself. And the app did not take into account some specific products, where I'm not allowing discount codes to be applied through Shopify's own discount code settings. When entering a discount code through the cart page (that the app provides, because the discount code field during checkout is removed/reserved for their app to be able to handle the discounts) it returns an error code, no matter what settings I apply through their app settings page. After contacting support for over two weeks regarding these errors, I haven't moved forward an inch. Several supporters are writing back to me telling me I have my app settings wrong despite the fact I sent detailed instructions on how to simulate my issue, and that the problem is 100% linked to their app. This app is probably good for the simple stuff, but if you're looking to make some mixed combinations with some products that have volume discounts, some that have static discounts and some products where discount codes should NOT be applied to - then you're better off looking for alternatives. The result of using this app has caused me more headaches than any good, with customers placing orders that were calculated wrongly, and I had to manually do partial refunds.
DO NOT INSTALL IF YOU RELY ON EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS AND ABANDONED CHECKOUTS! The app does apply volume discounts but that's also where the positives end. If someone starts a checkout with a volume discount, the email subscription box will not be ticked by default as usual which reduces email subscribers by a lot. Also, the abandoned checkout emails do not work for orders that have a volume discount applied.
UPDATE: stay away from this APP. 1 ) It doesn't work properly with multicurrency. But they don't tell you and it's not easy to notice. We have found that it converts any currency in a 1 to 1 ratio with the main currency of the store. This resulted in some customers seeing prices 100 or 1000 times higher than the real selling price. 2) Say goodbye to abandoned carts. It handles orders in a very convoluted way, all orders that go through the cart become "Draft orders". It is therefore not possible to send recovery cart emails to customers. Very bad experience.
