We have been using this app for several years. It's been so valuable and really necessary for us to keep tracking of everything from inventory, sales tax, vendors and locations, etc etc. The service is wonderful when you need help setting up a new report. It's a no brainer. We find it to be a necessity.
John and his team are outstanding- their customer service is best in class. We are so impressed. They could not have been more helpful and did everything they could to help us with our many requests- they have a great attitude and solved all the problems that had a solution. If you have many apps and require reports for inventory support, Data Export is the ideal solution. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This app is the answer to Shopify's shortcomings in reports. Virtually every piece of data is accessible throught this app. Anyone with basic understanding of Excel will be successful with this app, but if you need help, the customer service chat is top notch. Kudos.
We work with quite a few Shopify apps but the Data Export team and customer service is bar none the best we've worked with. We have been repeatedly pleased with the output and potential of this tool. Several times we have needed to access data that was not readily available in the tool and Malik and the team continue to deliver.
The tool is easy to use and the support acts very quickly when any problem occurs. It's also great, that it's possible to create a customized reports on demand :)
The reporting is slow and unreliable. If you schedule for 12, it might arrive at any time between 12 and 1 am or even later so not suitable for time-sensitive reports. Customer support is not in real time, they just have a standard message saying they'll work on it and then disappear for days - really frustrating if your business relies on reporting.
UPDATE: They migrated us to their new platform which is a little better, the delay is now not more than 30 mins.

They will help you set up ANY custom report and work with you to find the solutions you need. Great addition to any store, very powerful and VERY helpful!
I had a great experience troubleshooting my report issues with Data export (Vinith). I wasn't seeing the data that I was needing, and Vinith was really helpful in resolving the issue. It is a great product that I can use to automate my reports. I am very happy with it.
Just installed this on a 3rd store. It's been a while since I've created an reports and the changes since then seem to have been a very positive one. It's now much easier to create custom fields yourself compared to the old version and help support is very efficient and more than happy to set up the reports for you if you don't have time/knowhow to do it your self.
