Works pretty well!

Except for the fact that the download email ends up in the spam of some customers...

I LOVE this app. Very easy to use and set up. My digital content is a PDF file with tutorials.I like that I can limit the number of downloads a customer can have for an order. Wish there was something I could do to is prevent customers from sharing that once they receive the PDF

the app is great despite one issue, when the customer receive the email that contains the download link, it takes him to the download page and there is a "Download Now" button there but it comes with white color so the customers cannot see it and i should send it to them later, and i solved it by changing the background color to gray, but still sometimes the clients cannot see it because the white color is very light to be seen, so can you help me and clarify how to change this color because i tried a lot without any success.

In terms of the issue you have experienced, it is not possible to edit the download page within the Shopify theme editor and all customization options that exist are the ones shown within the app itself. I can see why being able to change the colours of the text on the download page would be helpful and will be sure to pass on your feedback to our development team for their consideration. -Victor, Shopify Support

I sell greeting cards with a total of 5 pdf's. Just came to find I can only attach one file per listing. This app is not suitable for that I suppose.

While you can only attach one file per variant, you can use a .zip file or another file archive format to bundle multiple files together (https://bit.ly/3pDsqkJ). This app needs to only send the download links once the customers payment has been verified. I am losing money because customer put in their credit card details and the link gets sent. I find out later that the payment did not go through but they still get the files. Some people are so dishonest.

I used digital downloads for the first few years my store was open and then switched to an app with more bells and whistles. I have tried out the new version and would like to switch back, but it cannot access orders placed when the app wasn't installed. There is no download link on their order status page and no downloads email. So any customer that needs to access their download again, I will have to send manual links to each product they purchased.

Seems like really terrible UX, especially when I got an email from Shopify telling me to switch back when the new version was released. Seems like you might want to support previous orders and not create a customer service headache.

I use this app once a week to send my email subscribers a free download. Just simply add the item as a product, then upload the file using the app. Customers can add the item to their cart from your catalog, enter their email address and it pops up as a download as soon as they check out and also sends it to them in an email! Super easy!

I can attach things just fine, but the customers never get update emails if a product they bought gets updated with a new file. Support is looking into it. Update: It's been 1 month and no word from Shopify Support. The last correspondance made it very clear that this app is not part of what you are paying for when using Shopify and they said that this app isn't made for sending out update emails. They know what the issues is but basically said not to expect a fix. They also said that they do not take any responibility if this apps hurts your business.

Since last update I cannot access upload from within my product in shopify. "add digital file), error "no such page". But instead have to go the Apps new dashboard, search again for the product and only then can upload. THIS IS A MUCH WORSENED WORKFLOW!!
Will you do something about it?
