Event Ticketing helped us scale our ticket sales with their easy to use and very efficient app. The Event Ticketing support team is very helpful and responsive to questions!

We manage events and sell tickets on shopify and were looking for a good way to handle check in as well as attendee management. We checked out other apps and previously used some event software designed just for event management. We found limitations with the original event software so we moved to Shopify and installed Event Ticketing. We're very happy with it and the support has been fantastic! There are so many great features that make running our events easier. The check in actions are great too as it allows us to take photos or know if a customer has items to pickup at check in. The support has been great when we've had questions and they even added some functionality that makes things easier. The check in app that you use on iOS devices makes check in and looking up attendees quick and easy. It's helped speed up the check in time for events. There are many more things I could mention, the Event Ticketing app is very full featured and has so many cool things you can do. I'd highly recommend it.
This app completely changed our admission process, and it was very easy to set up. When I did have questions, the developer was super responsive. In fact, I suggested a change, and app made update within two days. I would high recommend.
We were able to sell a good amount of tickets, and were generally quite happy with the app. However, the level of service was not there.
Jeff seems like the only person who can help but he is often busy and cannot/won't look at your issue for months (5 months and counting). For the money paid, I just couldn't justify it and looked elsewhere.
There are other limitations to the app (they don't have email reminders, for instance, as well as not being able to check in customers with an Android phone, no easy way to export attendees, plus more).
I had enough and have looked elsewhere.
Kat, it's a bummer we couldn't resolve things. The issue you refer to was a feature request that I didn't believe to be a good fit for the app. If I implemented everything customers asked for, then this app would be a mess. I focus on a few important things and doing them well. Speed, reliability, and ease of use. When I consider new features, I weigh four things: how many merchants need this and how many have asked for it, do I instinctively believe this to be a good value-add, how important is this compared to other fixes or features, and finally, is this a good customer to work with. Unfortunately your request missed all the marks. I apologize if I wasn't clear on that - it's my fault that I didn't set expectations appropriately.
I do commend you on selling thousands of tickets with Event Ticketing.
Regarding the limitations you mentioned:
1) Yes we have email reminders that can be automatically scheduled X hours before an event
2) Yes we support check in and scanning tickets on Android using our Shopify POS Plugin
3) Yes of course we support exporting attendees to a spreadsheet, with very good filtering: by ticket type, date ranges, name, checked in status, and a dozen more.

WOOOHOOO! Guest Manager rocked!
As the Director of Pacific Bitcoin Festival, I was nervous to move away from TIXR who we worked with previously.
TIXR treated us well and had really good client service. That said, we decided to move to Shopify with Guest Manager to lower fees and be better able to control the website experience, customer buying and upgrade experience, and the check-in experience.
It was a scary decision to move away from a big dog, to what is (at this point) a lessen-known option.
That said, we had NO problems at all with check in using Guest Manager. Everyone was amazed. Our staff and volunteers were able to easily download the app on their phone, or use an ipad.
The search option works really well, making it easy to problem solve if someone forgot to bring their ticket.
We had NO issues at check in. Everyone was thrilled.

[Additional details: This was a year two event in 2023. We had about 1200 people attend. Speakers. Sponsors. GA. VIP. Volunteers. Staff. We also had several smaller side events and used Guest Manager for all our events]
The Event Ticketing app has totally transformed how we sell tickets to events and has also streamlined our operational processes. The app is easy to use and the configuration options are endless. We have been able to fully customize the ticketing and event management process from end to end. The check-in iOS app is super easy to use and has improved our guest check-in experience also. The support team is responsive and helpful.
I have used Event Ticketing to sell 200k+ tickets across multiple events. The support and service from the developer is first class. The flexibility of the app and its deep and clean integration into Shopify’s platform makes it the best and most feature rich ticketing solution in the app store. Event Ticketing and Shopify are the perfect solution for a business wanting a true Omni-channel solution. More and more useful and innovative features keep getting added which is a huge value as our online logistics keep growing. The developer is fully invested into the app and incredibly talented. Event Ticketing/Shopify is the future of online ticketing!
The app and the service more than met our needs. There is a slight learning curve, but the support was there any time we needed it. Setting up and designing tickets was a breeze. We had a multi day, multi tiered ticketed events add it worked seamlessly. The backend allowed us to go deeper with user info. This is a complete out of box solution for a ticketed event and much cheaper than event bright. We will be using the app again.
10/10 Highly Recommend! We had been using 3rd party ticketing services that were outside our website. Our goal was to sell our own tickets to drive website traffic. Guest Manager allowed for us to do this. We are small non-profit that has a large gala in December we looked like pro's thanks to their ticketing and scanners. I love that we could custom design our tickets and add to apple wallet. Can't wait until our next event!
Highly functional and easy to use. We host a variety of events that involve many different audiences. This app can serve all our needs. But, the thing that puts this app ahead of all others is the incredible support! Top tier!
