BASIC PLAN FEATURES

The features below are completely free and you don't need to be on a paid Shopify plan to use them.

Order Events

EZ Notify will send order notifications to the Slack channel of your choosing. Simply register the order event you want to show up in your Slack workspace and start getting notifications right in Slack!

Have multiple stores? No problem, install EZ Notify on each store and you can configure it to send notifications to the same Slack workspace!

You can select from the following order events:

  • Created
  • Updated
  • Paid
  • Canceled
  • Deleted
  • Partially Fulfilled
  • Fulfilled

Each event can be configured to be sent to your chosen Slack channel.

Use slash commands to retrieve data from your Shopify store on demand, without leaving Slack!

With slash commands, you can instantly query live data from your Shopify store directly in Slack. Could come very handy especially for your customer support team.

A few use cases:

  • Get the current status of an order.
  • Get the current stock level of a product.
  • Get a quick summary of important customer information such as their contact info, location, tags, total spent, and total number of orders.

You can enable/disable this in the app.

PROFESSIONAL PLAN FEATURES

In addition to the features available in the Basic Plan, upgrading to the Professional Plan allows for even more use cases.

Customer Events

You can select from the following customer events:

  • Created
  • Updated
  • Enabled (activates account)
  • Disabled (deactivates account)
  • Deleted

Customize the Slack Message

Select which fields to include in the Slack notifications. There are over 50 order fields to choose from (such as tracking information, line item properties, cart attributes, discount codes, tags, UTM parameters, etc.).

Rules Engine

Configure up to 10 rules based on the content of the order or customer event data. Our rules engine helps you filter the events you care about and send them to specific Slack channels.

Examples:

  • If a new order is created and the order total is over $1,000, send a notification to the Slack channel #needs_review.
  • If an order is fulfilled and contains a line item with SKU 221389 or SKU 332831, send a notification to the #special_orders channel.
  • If the order source is the POS, send to #pos_orders.

    Let me preface this with, I do not usually write reviews.

    We use the EZ Notify app for order notifications through our Slack channel. Recently, an update to the app was made resulting in customer email addresses no longer being displayed in the notification
    (a feature we uniquely rely on). I reached out to Support and fully expected to receive an automated "Thanks for your message..." email, but instead received an email from Jonathan (co-founder/developer). He acknowledged there was indeed an update resulting in the email address not being displayed, offered to put in a support ticket to resolve, provided an expected timeline, and promised to contact me again with an update once it was resolved.

    And here I am, writing this review less than 24 hours later to share that our issue was resolved.

    We all have our own set of expectations when we install third-party apps, especially free ones. We tend not to expect they will work perfectly for all needs, but work well enough to meet most of them. When we encounter stumbling blocks, we also tend to work around them, not expecting change or customization.

    Working with Jonathan/Highview Apps was a refreshing experience. The level of service received was top-notch and I'm both thankful and impressed.
