What is Fraud Filter?

Fraud Filter can provide an additional layer of protection to help you fight fraud and avoid chargebacks. By using Fraud Filter's simple rule-based functionality you can easily set up warnings for suspicious orders, or block orders completely.

What does the app do?

When an order match a filter you've created Fraud Filter will flag it as suspicious to warn you or automatically cancel it for you, depending on what action you've chosen. When Fraud Filter flags an order as suspicious it will mark the order as medium risk, and you'll be able to tell which filter that was triggered from the fraud analysis section on the order page.

How does it work?

With Fraud Filter you can create filters and rules based on order details you suspect could be suspicious and want to review or block. And it's all integrated into your store admin. Each filter consist of one or more rules that needs to be met for the filter to be triggered on orders.

As an example you could configure Fraud Filter to flag orders from a specific country that have an order value greater than 200 USD so you can review them before fulfilling. When an order is placed that match your rules Fraud Filter will automatically follow the instructions you've set up and either flag it as suspicious or cancel it.

If you receive an order which has details you would like to create a filter with you can easily do this from the order page. Click the more actions menu, and chose the 'Create fraud rule' which opens Fraud Filter and allows you to edit your new filter before saving. You can at any time add new filters, edit or delete existing ones, or view which orders that have triggered a certain filter.

Getting started

Installing Fraud Filter is easy, and free. The app is directly integrated with the admin of your store. Read the FAQ listed on this page for step by step intstructions with supporting screen shots.

It literally doesn't open, so it doesn't work. It sounds like it could have been useful but it most certainly has no use.

Hi, there! We don't seem to be experiencing any issues with the app opening, so this is most likely due to a browser issue caused by caching, a browser extension, or an ad blocker. It didn't make a lot of sense that they built something where you need to create specific rules for events that you don't know will happen. Had the app for 2 min and quickly removed it. I do not recommend this app.

I also don't review as much unless I feel it is necessary and wish I would have saw this comment before downloading.

I'm confused on the amount of 1 star reviews for this app. It works for me. It's clunky to setup and configure, but it works.

The clunkyness should be resolved.
"The filter will act on the order only if all of these rules match."
There should be an option to any an "ALL" and "OR" rule instead of having to enter in 3-5 different rules.
